Is Steuben pronounced stew-BEN?

If your emPHAsis is on the second syllABle, that would be correct, Frank uIBle. Must be a broadcast guy....we print people worry only of the spelling.

I understand it's a little chilly in the Empire State. Any sub-zero readings?

It was -2 degrees F. in Mayberry (Alfred) this morning.

In the valleys in the Berkshires it was about -8 this morning just before sunup, meaning it was about -16 on top of Mount Greylock which is almost in the Empire State.

66 and sunny here in SoCal.  Must be why TGP moved out here from Upstate in the first place!

The Truth 00

if its going to be this friggin cold, it might as well snow. i'm sick of this garbage.

I must say the end of the year is quite the Fisher love fest....about time the experts admit they were wrong....who would of thought that fisher who was unranked in most of the polls at the begining of the season would go on to have the season that they did

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Hey Pep, what's all that white stuff on the ground?

AUPepBand

It's called "Winter in Western New York" as it should be. Enough of this global warming bunk. Winter came late and perhaps Alfred Station Al, cousin of Punxsutawney Phil, will declare another six weeks of this white stuff on Friday. Will wait and see.....

But for now, making plans to escape to Florida March 3-11 with 30 college students on the (crowded) Alfred University bus in search of a Spring Break tan while building houses for Habitat for Humanity in Deland. Life is good.

Deland eh?  Home of Stetson University (of which both of TGP's Costa Rican cousins are "distinguished" alumni).

k+ to Pep and the Al's for the H4H work.

AUPepBand

Pep would enjoy Deland even more were the Stetson "Hatters" in town but they usually take the same week as AU for Spring Break. Now where you might ask would college students attending Stetson go for Spring Break? While there may be a few who'd go north for snow skiing, Pep believes many head for the Keys.

Pep likes the Stetson campus and one year got an afternoon during which he visited the library (very nice), but most years is tied up 24/7 with said 30 college students making for good times.

+k back at ya
