oh- sounds good--in theory...hope it happens

Jose - is that Joe Brown = Benedict Arnold in your sig?

Thats pretty rough if it is....it's not his fault that IC puts out so many good coaches that some have to coach the enemy.

fisheralum91

man its getting deep in here!

Yeah.  I know.  I was messing with CState19 in the baseball room when I made it.  Also, there is this really touchy Cortland fan in there as well I was messing with.  It was time to take down the sig making fun of the Gwynedd Mercy hoop coach.

JQV

Realistic,

Thoughts on that one?

fisheralum91

now that just isnt right!!

fisheralum91

that is a great pic of growney though

realistic

thats good stuff....I assumed the Brown pic was b/c of something like that.  I just generally don't stray too far from the football boards.  I should have checked...b/c nothing is as much fun as a touchy Cprtland fan (though they probably are pretty cocky after their Spring Trip.

Its funny though, because the pic got me thinking of all of the coaches that Ithaca has put out over the years.  Obviously this can apply to a lot of schools but it seems like you see Ithaca ppl pop up all the time.  Blaise at Fisher, Spiker at Cornell now, Mo Magiolino is at Chaminade now, Mairin Dudek is coaching a small college in Boston, Erin Demarco is at Brynn Mar in Philly, half of the Ithaca coaches themselves.  Those are just off the top of my head, but you got me thinkin either way.

Just between Butterfield and Val IC populated the coaching staffs of half the colleges in the East.

Sounds like Deb is working on quite the coaching tree of her own.

To me, however, the only coaches that go into the book with Ben Arnold are those at Ryan Fluellen State University.

realistic

True on Butterfield and Val...Deb is definately making some good ones (my sister at the HS level)

I'd even say Mullins could be added to the list as well.

as the game got more and more out of hand the Rowan faithful got increasingly chippy.
was not overly impressed.
though i cant compare it as that is the only game ive been to in 15 yrs...

I wasn't able to make the game. Maybe the fans were looking past SJF and weren't expecting a spanking.  Usually their pretty good, but that South Jersey/Philly mix of fan can be pretty hard core.  They boo'd Santa Claus one year before an Eagles game.

JT leave us philly fans alone on that santa claus deal that was almost 50 years ago..it always amazes me how fans across country always talk about how philly fans boo santa....like they were at that game or its a weekly thing booing santa and their home stadiums have never boo'd anyone...especially espn's dork announcers

Philly fans are great fans, but they are among the toughest around.  Especially visiting fans.  They cheered when Michael Irvin got seriously hurt.  It is what it is.  It doesn't bother me.

The stadium looks very impressive. Any Rowan fan who was displeased with the stadium must not have been on his own campus lately.

I can't believe I am going to defend Rowan fans but, the visiting bleachers at SJF stink.  They are too low and you really can't see the field.  The years that IC plays there the FDC club goes really early to get seats on the home side.

The Chair is right on this. If Fisher wants visitors to sit behind their team, they need to be a bit more accommodating. Until they are, AUPepBand will sit on the Fisher side to see the game....but problem with that is the Alfred fans are split up at Growney. Actually, visitor stands couldn't hold all the AU fans, who in 2005 were standing on the mezzanine (?) in front of the play clock and spilling into the Fisher stands. We'd much rather stick together...we're a synergetic group. Can we please have some raised stands behind our bench?

AUpep et al,
I do agree that the visiting stands are in dire need of an upgrade,
A little birdie told me at the Rowan game that plans were in place to replace said stands.
All in a matter of time gents.  Rome was not built in a day-
For crying out loud- they still had the portable trailer for the bathrooms- that too will be fixed.

We can infer that this portable trailer upset Kaz00 during the '05 AlFish Bowl given his open preference for troughs...

AUPepBand

Yes, in fact, Kaz00 became incensed with Pep when Pep, in response to Kaz00's invitation to participate in an online College Football Bowl Challenge, named his entry "Ditch the Trough." I quote the z00: You sir have lost your mind!  You go a week without going to a DIII football game and you start taking it out on your fellow Saxon fans?  For shame, David.  For shame.  Oh, and when can I pick up some clarinet sheet music?

Haven't heard much from Kaz00 of late except that he and the fam were en route to Florida to see his folks and get some sunshine. He's currently stuck in 33rd place in our 44-member Tournament Challenge group he titled, "Empire 8 Second Division Group Page...Where Alfred is Champion". Pep isn't doing a whole lot better, tied for 19th.

+K to the Chair for his reference to KaZ00's preference......and Pep sort of likes the "AlFish Bowl" or perhaps we could take one of the Saxons' royal colors and come up with the "GoldFish Bowl"
