That is hysterical.  I am just a little pissed that I never made the Big Earl-CState connection.

Division III football has more Ithaca graduates as head coaches thangraduates of any other school (Buffalo State, Carroll, Coast Guard,Ithaca, Macalester, Morrisville and Muhlenberg).

not to blow up your spot... but as I was looking down the east region I saw a lot of springfield coaches too. They have 9 head coaches in DIII (Springfield, Alfred, Bates, Colby, Kings, Maine Maritime, Mass Maritime, Susquehanna, Rhodes)  I guess that IC is second.

sorry, sloooow day at work.

Mount Union has seven also (MUC, Emory & Henry, Coe, Ohio Northern, Washington & Jefferson, Lakeland and Heidelberg).
National Champions - 13: 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2015, 2017

Spiedie....Pep is impressed. You are a fast learner! +K for newly acquired skills. Now, if I could only remember how it's done, perhaps I could post some interesting images--all Alfred related, of course.

could be worse- he coulda been a naz grad!!

Speaking of just that...the other day at work a sales rep for a technology company came to help install a new system at work. I asked the guy where he went to school...he said Naz. I said oh yeah, I went to Fisher...He responded..."Oh cool, a lot of my bosses went to Fisher"...I said "that sounds about right!!"
There was a long silence and we did not talk the rest of the week!!!
GO FISHER!!!

I was in fairport hots one night and a bunch of kids almost got kicked out for arguing who was better fisher or naz

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Yeah, and it's probably an Alfred grad that OWNS the company...

actually it's an alfred grad that makes the cermaic pots and then when he realizes that he has to live in a big city goes postal on everybody....in all truth's it's probably an Ithaca grad or a UofR grad

thats good stuff....I assumed the Brown pic was b/c of something like that.  I just generally don't stray too far from the football boards.  I should have checked...b/c nothing is as much fun as a touchy Cprtland fan (though they probably are pretty cocky after their Spring Trip.

Its funny though, because the pic got me thinking of all of the coaches that Ithaca has put out over the years.  Obviously this can apply to a lot of schools but it seems like you see Ithaca ppl pop up all the time.  Blaise at Fisher, Spiker at Cornell now, Mo Magiolino is at Chaminade now, Mairin Dudek is coaching a small college in Boston, Erin Demarco is at Brynn Mar in Philly, half of the Ithaca coaches themselves.  Those are just off the top of my head, but you got me thinkin either way.

Just between Butterfield and Val IC populated the coaching staffs of half the colleges in the East.

Sounds like Deb is working on quite the coaching tree of her own.

To me, however, the only coaches that go into the book with Ben Arnold are those at Ryan Fluellen State University.

Funny I should go back through the last few pages of E8Nation minutes and catch this note...transactions column in the sports section this morning indicates that Mairin Dudek has made the move to D1 UAlbany as an assistant.

Mr. Chairman...I googled Ryan Fluellen to see if I could figure out what you were talking about, no luck, (unless you're inexplicably referring to a member of the track team at a D2 school in Georgia) but one of the few Google hits was actually your post above.

EDIT: Don't forget Dane Fischer (2nd assistant hoops coach at Rider) and John Dunne (IC team captain in the early '90s now the head coach at St. Peter's).

Yes, re: Springfield turf, Pep saw better wall-to-wall on the floor at Deland First Baptist Church where a huge auditorium doubled as a gymnasium with basketball court lines, including the 3-pt. arc, on the floor. Following a dinner of BBQ chicken, baked beans and coleslaw, some 25 of 30 Habitatters engaged in some outrageous games of Knockout until Pep put an end to it, insisting that the group had to move along for an evening of putt putt. We played mini-golf, too.

Now if AU can replace its Astro-Turf 12 with field turf and Sarge's bounced check is made good so Merrill Field can have a training facility/lockerroom at the north end, we'll be in good shape in Mayberry. +K back at ya, Truth....from one karma slut to another.

They are none of the three.   Although they were both IC play-by-play men at the same time.  I like that you are investigating everyone Super. I can't remember if you had an official position in E8Nation but, if not, the Chair hereby moves that Super be named Director of Domestic Surveillance.
