WICB Sports

WICB Sports is pleased to announce its on-air postgame team for Bombers Football 2007.

Lee Small '09 and David Portney '09 will host the 30-minute postgame show immediately following all ten Bombers games on 92 WICB.  Katie Miller will produce while Dan Armata and Bryan Shay will serve as assistant producers.

WE WANT YOU TO CALL IN.  (607) 274-3217 is our number.  We don't want to recap the game--you've all been listening.  We want to hear what you have to say to make this as interesting as possible.

If we have enough demand we'll expand our postgame coverage an extra 15 minutes to a 45-minute show and maybe longer.

The show will be based around phone calls and analysis of the game and will conclude with a montage of highlights from the game.

More info to come as we approach the 2007 season...

hey fisher guys- any word on the finishing of the bathrooms at growney---the portalets were my ony prob ( besides the visiting seats ) :-)

Are they going to put some bathrooms in? I am as big a fan of Growney be as their is, but I hate have to use a porta-jon, or go to the Fish Bowl for a squat. It should not be that hard to  add some. Underneath the stands is nothing but open space and storage. Just make some bathrooms of of each end and there ya go.

Have not posted in a while, but I got talking with an IC grad at work today about the comming season and I got excited. WOW...May and I can not wait for D3Football.
GO FISHER!!!

Man,  if I were you, I would have been more careful about publishing that call in number in this room.  Nevertheless, you can expect a regular postgame call from the Chairman.

AUPepBand

AUPepBand now has your number.....Pep is sure to make your postgame show(s) somewhat interesting, assuming of course that your listening audience enjoys being peppered with little-known trivial historic information about Alfred. And Pep has unlimited long distance!

Given AUKaz00's affection for trough urinals, Pep is hoping same will be installed under the stands at Growney (along with some visitors' bleachers with a view) before the Saxons visit in November.

They must have put some money into them.  Look how bad it was for the Brockport game:

Still I'd rather sit over there than on the home side:

As nice as Growney is, it still looks like it holds fewer people than the old stadium.  I mean, look how many people came to see FA91 play:

Is that AU Pep in the middle photo - lying across the bleachers?  Whats he doing on the home side at Growney?

Dang! AU Pep has been exposed! Pep wanted a seat with a view at Growney...and the band always sits with Pep.

Memo to all AU alums...donate to the Pep Band, they are apparently in desparate need of new uniforms....

one of the more disturbing things I have ever seen...

If Fisher gets new stands for the visitors can we get some shirts on...
GO FISHER!!!

sjfcards

I was just putzing around the internet and checked out the Fisher Football page..

the 2007 schedule is out and here it is:

Sept 1 @ Kings College
Sept 8 @ Buff State
Sept 15 U of R
Sept 22 @ Ithaca
Sept 29 @ Hartwick
Oct 6 SUNY Brockport
Oct 13 Norwich
Oct 20 @ Springfield
Oct 27 Utica College
Nov 10 Alfred University

I have a few quick thoughts...I was unaware that Fisher was adding Buff State to the schedule. Is this a few year deal, or just a one year spot before they add Mt. Union? Either way I am glad to see that Mt. Ida is off the schedule. It may be a tougher game on the road but they will be better for it.

Also after looking at the schedule for a second I noticed that Springfield and Ithaca are both on the road. That makes it tough to think Fisher will go 2-0 through that stretch. Those teams along with Alfred will all probably contend for the league title and that is not a favorable schedule for the Cards.

I am happy that the Alfred game is at Fisher. Something makes me think that game may go a long way toward who is the eventual Empire 8 Champ. I don't necessarily think that will be the E8 Championship, but in a tiebreaker situation it may be huge.

I do think Fisher has a good chance at winning the league this year, but it will be very tough to win every game with three other real quality teams in the league this year. It is too early to predict anything for next year, but I think Fisher is looking at another solid season...perhaps NCAA play? Fingers crossed

are any other teams 2007 schedule's out?
GO FISHER!!!
