Sorry Mr. Chairman, but an opportunity like that doesn't present itself very often.   :D .  It was probably too much of a low blow.

AUPepBand

Wow, no one now dares say a word here.

Guess that's what happens when one takes cheap shots at the Chairman...he has his JoseQViperhitmen and apparently he snapped his fingers and gave the directive....

Pep is posting with great fear here, lest he offend the High Chair and have the pep knocked out of him....+K to the Chair just because he's the Chair!

Nope, I'm not dead...

And it wasn't a cheapshot, only the truth!

Thought it was common knowledge that the majority of Cortland's internships are given out by Mickey D's.

Zing!!!  Don't forget to tip your waitresses.

I saw that too 'Gro but the joke wouldn't have made any sense.  Cortland grads stopped getting work at Mickey D's when they stopped giving out post-grad degrees.

EDIT:

Laughed out loud, chairman. Excellent work.

You may consider this a non sequitur, but I do not:

Kaz00's college roommate is from Portland and obviously delirious from the NBA Lottery results last night.  More impressive, however, are my prophetic powers:

From: McClain, Peter M
Date: May 14, 2007 2:22 PM
Subject: Mock NBA draft
To: Justin Morton

Just ran the ESPN mock draft and the Blazers ended up with Greg Oden.  I'm going to accept this as reality until proven otherwise.

Pete

So to steal a page from my own book, I'm going to accept that Paul Keeley and the AU Saxons are the 2007 E8 Champions until proven otherwise!
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Luckily, the E8 is based in reality unlike the NBA.

Why do they even play a season when the best team still has to go through 17 rounds of playoffs and the worst team doesn't get the first pick?

The least they could have done was rig a Mavs-Suns West final. Not rigging the games shows a total lack of respect for the fans.

Speaking of pro sports, I'm thinking of starting a dog fighting ring. I mean, they're my dogs, I can do what I want with them, right Clinton Portis? When did you turn into Ozzie Osborne?

Hey Pep -

Your thoughts on Cornell-Duke in the D1 Lax semis?  TGP noticed the Cornell pep band got some decent air time.

TGP is sure that the Rongo sold some extra pints on Saturday night for the Big Red fans to drown their sorrows.  Tough loss.

theoriginalupstate

Any news out of Spring Ball practices around the E-8?

I heard that Reile is coming back and teaming up with Hanson next season for a nice 1-2 punch....

The SJF O-line is just as big as last years, if not bigger and that their JV O-line will average 6-3 and over 310lbs and are in the same mold as their LT (athletic not just fat slobs)....

They got a nice class of RB's that are coming in as well for next season....

That was one of the best games ever.  That defenseman that gave up that final goal must be sick.  I can't believe that pass came in like that.  Awful.

superman57

the cornell-suny albany game was also incredible, albany had a chance to score in OT with like 15 seconds left and cornell stole it and went down and scored with no time left

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Sorry, Pep missed it. Pep hasn't had much time for TV these days. When the weather's nice in Mayberry, Pep gets outdoors as much as possible. Pick-up ballin', mowing lawn, and even an occasional golf outing at VanderView, although the weather there is unpredictable, the course being over the hill from beautiful downtown Mayberry. Pep is also putting long hours in at the library in overseeing gradual move of materials into the new digs.

+K to E8 posters during a very slow week....
