and I'm not looking for anymore credit for Fisher... Fisher is getting more credit than I think they deseerve...I think it is going to be harder to replace Robby than what most people think...and I also think I combined the post made by dubbz and your post where Dubbz predicted Ithaca would run over every body...

I see IC/Fisher being a real toss up, but I see fisher beating Springfield and AU...

uhhh Dubbz did not say Ithaca was going to run over everybody.   refer to previous post 2-3 pages ago.  Dubbz said 4 way tie between AU, SC, SJF, IC.

and one more thing on Juvon.... last year was his first year.  lets let the kid have this year.... remember ( 17-69 pages ago) we talked about Juvon possibly losing his role as top QB if he loses big to Fish.  I am telling you though, with the big WR's and the three headed monster IC is gonna be goooooddddddd.

I don't think any of the IC guys would call me a big Juvan fan but I don't think it is fair to say he lost any of the games last year.

The closest you could come is Cortaca where he threw a pick in OT.  But I didn't see the play so who knows what really happened.

AU is definitely not Juvan's fault:  He was 18-for-34 for 221 yards with a TD and 2 INT.  One of the INT's lead to an AU TD but that was basically the only negative thing Juvan did the whole day.

AU's offense just beat IC's defense with two long scoring drives (7 plays 68 yards, 13 plays 85 yards) and AU's Special Teams had two long returns to give the offense a short field.  Neither Juvan's fault.

He hardly "sucked a big egg" against Fisher.  He was 27-34 for 175 yards in that game.  Seems to me that Fisher's offense had more to do with the IC loss than Juvan.  There were some missed chances but that is a hard loss to pin on him alone.

Also, he may not have won the SC game alone but he certainly led the offense to a big victory.  The kid was 10-13 for 115 yards...in the RAIN.  Not too bad.  Not to mention the fact that he got us 24 points when we only had the ball for 22 minutes.

He was nothing spectacular last year to be sure but it is hard to blame our struggles on him.  That is hard for me to admit too.

S57, what did you want Juvan to do against SC? Keep airing it out in the rain and mud so as to bump up his statistics? As a QB, sometimes the best way to win a game is not to lose it. I think people are getting on your case because you're essentially saying that Juvan lost those games against Fisher/AU/Cortland but not giving him credit for beating the conference champs

I don't really think that Kramer won many (any?) games for Fisher under your flawed test. He was good, but were any of those games that they absolutely would not have won without him? The only tight games were the B'port game (c'mon now, I don't know what to say if you're gonna tell me that Fisher would have lost to a team with a losing record w/out Kramer) and the second Springfield game, in which Robinson did the yeoman's work.

first off when have I ever praised Kramer, he was good, but not great...the reason we won games last year was because of Mark... drop the Juvan comment, but I just don't think he's IC's qb...

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Any reason MIOH gets to throw this photo up is a good one.

RR25- Did Kramer know he was the butt of all E8PP jokes for about 6-9 months?

And I don't think if WE know that he's IC's quarterback. I think you're going to see IC fans clamoring for Grasdorf if Juvan looks terrible against Lyco in a close Bombers win or if (gasp) Ithaca loses that game. But, after only one year as a starter and playing a vast majority of the team's most difficult games on the road, he deserves the opportunity to start the season.

I agree you need to give Juvan another year to grow into the system, and into his potential as a leader. You have to look at the pressure he was under to come in and win - and not just win, but follow in the footsteps of a very good QB.

That has to play a factor in any young QB's performance - let him mature a bit. I wouldn't write him off so quick.

...and not just follow the footsteps of a great QB but meet the unreasonable expectations we all had for him after his celebrated high school career.  He had no chance at living up to what I expected.

Can Tim Tebow do it now?  We'll see...

realistic

almost as often as AUPep can make transitions...it always amazes me how you can parallel the Bombers with your Gators.

Pep is the king of transition topics.

Also, Tebow is not good IMHO. We need not forget the cast he had around him, and Leak was far better. Remember the QB that was as big as a house from Kentucky a few years ago? He's that guy.

As I type I think I realize he may now be in the NFL, so I'm not sure if my comparison makes any sense whatsoever.

That'll be all.

haha...

Yeah - the Brick Sh*thouse from Kentucky was 2nd string (3rd maybe) on the Giants last year.  He actually looked pretty decent at times.

I loved watching him when he was at UK...it just seemed so wrong.
