somebody got snubbed for a Chris Leak autograph

You'd be hard pressed to find a Gator fan that actually likes Chris Leak.

Many of them simply stomach him now because we won the NC.

Leak is an awesome kid.  He has been very nice every time I have met him.  (A good friend of mine has been dating his brother for some time...even though his brother played at that school with the ugly burnt orange).  I wish him the best, I just don't think he is a very good player.

Not for nothing, we have a copy of the Gainesville Sun signed by Leak hanging in my office at home.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

The guy was one of the most ballyhooed recruits in a long time and--I'm gonna catch a lot for saying this--he really was a disappointment even though his team won the title last year.

Pep is the king of transition topics.

Also, Tebow is not good IMHO. We need not forget the cast he had around him, and Leak was far better. Remember the QB that was as big as a house from Kentucky a few years ago? He's that guy.

As I type I think I realize he may now be in the NFL, so I'm not sure if my comparison makes any sense whatsoever.

That'll be all.

IMO if SJF beats IC they'll probably run the table during the regular season.  That's the seasons biggest game.   This is the season that they have to get that monkey off their back.  The past two games at Butterfield were decided by 8 pts combined, they were both great games that IC got behind but #3 found ways to win both games.

SC and AU will be really tough games, dont get me wrong, but IC is still the game of all games this year.

OK catch up time:

1. Juvan has the talent to be a great quarterback... having the backs behind him will definetely help this year and I think he has one of the best arms in the league, as for his pocket prescense... that is still to be determined (i.e. sacked lunch @ Fisher and AU)

2. The moment the photographer snapped the photo of Kramer we all knew it would go down in the record books as the greatest D3 picture of all time once he took the thrown at QB (it actually got posted on collegehumor.com)

3. I hate chris leak, he is a pussy and the IC boys are right on this one... never will he do anything in the NFL or CFL for that

4. ummm what did I miss, oh yeah... early predictions... week 4:
Fisher: 45
Ithaca: 31

Good to be a spectator these days  ::)

I think you'll see alot of 2 WR pattens w/ max protection off of play action to help him out this year...

I don't think it was me that came up with that.  I probably read it somewhere...but thanks anyway GB15.

I really wonder whether the two AD's are going to continue playing this game in early-September. Seems like the stakes are very high for a game played so early. I know the schedules are done several years in advance, but why not move this game more towards the middle/end of the season. I wouldn't mind seeing this game in mid-October, at the earliest. Plus, we could get some of that good, muddy, Bomber weather that we all love so much.

Leak may not be as tough as Tebow, but he's a better QB IMHO. Among other records, he set the record for most passing yards in a career, surpassing many very good college QB's that have come through that program.

Say what you want about him, but he started 9-9 in the championship game vs. what was a great Ohio State defense, and ultimately took home the MVP trophy I believe. That may not be your refrigerator perry running style you say you'd like to see, but that's what I'd want out of a QB.

We'll see what Tebow does now that he has to play every down.

All of this talk, and I don't even like Florida! :)

Speaking of Florida, why are the Bucs seemingly giving up on Chris Simms? Gruden really feels Garcia is the answer??? Why not stick with the young lad & let him continue to grow - there would be no discussion if he hadn't been hit so hard he lost his internal organs last year. I don't think it's a good move.

Word down here is that Simms is not fully recovered from his spleenectemy.  Some syndrome where the nerve endings are not fully healed or something.  Brain wants to do something, but nerves don't get the message as quickly as they used to.  Sometimes takes a couple of years to recover from.  Simms may end up on IR this year cause of it.

Simms is done for the year & Gruden "inherited" Dungy's team. The Bucs without a solid quarterback are going nowhere.  :(
