#1 on the list of do nots and yankee stadium is to wear anything mets or red sox.... I've even seen little kids get booed and stuff thrown at them for wearing red sox stuff to a non yankee-red sox game...

Should have mentioned that to MIOH, who will be sporting his Beltran jersey to the game today.

I sure missed a lot in two days, but I appreciate the cowbell lesson Pep.

lineback, I'm glad Vegas made the cut on how New Yorkers view the world.

"i can't wait to line up on saterday and see if your boys are as tough as you guys build them up to be."

Canada made the cut as well.

Thanks Canadian Culture Club for increasing Canadian awareness among New Yorkers.

Rowdy,

I heard American Idol try outs are coming up.  Are you considering entering again this year?

If I were to go to "The Stadium" again I'd probably wear my Pavano jersey.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

They're going to have to get the Brewers off of those "Actober" commercials soon..

My dad got a beer on the head for a Cubs hat at Shea Stadium.

Two outs in the ninth at Yankee Stadium, and it's dead silent.  Guess the scoreboard hasn't told the fans to cheer yet.

Gotta watch those Mets fans. ;D

My favorite Yankee is Sweet Lou. I now have a team to root for in the Senior Circut. My Yankees are lurking. Watch out. Last I looked 4-0 LA.

After growing up going to Wrigley, I still can't get used to the songs, scoreboard cartoons and endless between inning "fun for the kids" stuff.

All we have is an organ and a seventh inning stretch that is fun for all ages and the best fans in baseball.

EDIT: CUBS WIN!! CUBS WIN!!

During the rain delay, we left the bar we were watching the game at and were walking home. A scalper was trying to get rid of a few extra tickets and we were tempted to go sit in the stands for the last few innings.

Another cool thing about Wrigley is the 69 cubs themed bars surrounding the field in a nice neighborhood so you're in no hurry to leave when the game's over.  incomparable

I sure missed a lot in two days, but I appreciate the cowbell lesson Pep.

Pep can attribute that to Wikipedia.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowbells

Pep also reports that such noisemakers (SJF cowbells) are banned in the Southeastern Conference as Wikipedia notes:   Cowbells are sometimes popular noisemakers at sporting events, despite attempts to suppress them. In the United States, they are most closely identified with Mississippi State University, whose football fans smuggle in cowbells by the thousands despite a ban on artificial noisemakers by its conference, the Southeastern Conference.[2]

Should the Empire 8 ban those annoying cowbells? Pep thinks their popularity will wane, particularly when SJF joins the ranks of those colleges with pep bands providing live music at football games.

I know what you mean about the ballpark atmosphere, Lineback.  Mrs. Tecmo and I went to Philly this year for a game... great sightlines, but nonstop tomfoolery.  The Phillie Fanatic zooms around the field on an ATV (which can move at a crazy pace), and he circles guys as they warm up between innings. It's odd.

I have to agree that nothing beats wrigleyville....while I'm not a huge fan of wrigley the stadium....wrigleyville is incredible...there isn't a whole lot that goes on between innings at yankee staduim...they have several traditions that they do... like the great subway race and the ball under the hat and trivia....

P.S. when are we doing this draft since no one is talking on the site lets hammer out a date
