Looks like Vick has finally taken a deal...

Any chance he spends more than a year in jail?  (My guess is that he's out in 5 months)

Does anyone see Vick playing in Canada or Arena as a side show next season?

Vick will not be able to play in canada because he will not be able to get the requried visa to go over... I do see him playing a coupld of years in the arena league and tearing it up...vick would be incredible as an arena league qb

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

When the feds make a deal it isn't like a regular deal.  If they agree to say 12 months Vick needs to serve at least 75% of that time.  Plus unlike local and state deals if the prosecution makes a deal with Vick for 12 months the judge can say not enough time and add time to the sentence and there is nothing Vick and his team can do about it.  I say Vick does 8 months minimum of a one year sentence and possibly more.  I hope he gets nailed to the wall myself.

Looks like we might need the E8PP Legal Counsel in here to help sort this out...

Jose Q, Did you take a 2nd Honeymoon?

NSRB - Did your sources mention how the stable of running backs looked? Or who was taking the majority of reps under center?

He can join Charles Rogers in the CFL.  Someone please explain how Detroit decides their draft picks.  Ugh.

Dang, wish I would have known the blue/game scrimmage was today.

I talked to some "sources" yesterday (ooh, how cryptic) downtown and they said that Juvan will definitely be the Bombers starting QB this coming season.  They looked at me like I was crazy when I asked.

Knightstalker has it about right.  As a general rule, both states and the Feds operate under the same system: ie. any plea deal has to be approved by the judge.  However, there are significantly fewer Federal crimes so Federal judges have more time to evaluate a plea bargain, at least that is my impression.  Also, there is less pressure for a judge to accept anything to clear his docket and less pressure to shorten a sentence for good behavior because the Federal jails are not as overcrowded.

Vick will probably do most of his sentence but I don't think you will see him in Canada or the AFL.  Some NFL team will sign him when he comes out.  This is the NFL, criminal activity does not dissuade teams from signing you.  In fact, I would say the team most likely to sign him when he gets out is the team that currently employs Jon Gruden and Bruce Allen.  (Gets on his knees and prays that isn't the Bucs....)

No shock there Enforcer.  Welch always goes with the vet and, as we discussed in detail a few weeks ago, Juvan wasn't that bad.  He just wasn't that good either.

No cubbies chatter this evening. The Brewers are about to go back up a 1/2 game.

tecmobowler

Cubs didn't play a bad game today.  It'll be trouble if Lilly starts to fall off though... innings are starting to pile up on him.  Getting Zambrano's start rained out after three innings was crappy luck for Chicago. Hopefully we'll have a decent roadtrip.

Wouldn't bet on the Brewers winning tonight.  They have looked flat out horrible, and are finding every way in the book to lose.  Starts at the top.  Their manager is a dimwit.

Rowdy-

I'll give you karma for three weeks if you can message me some more scoop about the scrimmage and how things are going in general at camp.
