BTW, whats the draft order for tonight?

maninyellowhat

It's randomly assigned...we'll find out about an hour before we draft if it's anything like Yahoo.

lineback, I can't believe you fell asleep and missed the comeback.  I hope you don't have a kickball tournament during the Vegas mancation next summer.

I think that if Fisher is able to overcome precious nightmares at butterball (see 05) then I think there is a legitmate chance that they could go undefeated...Fisher has proven that they can beat Sharpe on his on field and if they beat springfield and Ithaca...it won't really matter what happens in the AU game.... But I must say I think this could be the year that the east region is no longer the weakest of the 4

Superman I agree that if Fisher beats IC @ butterfield I think they have a very good chance at 10-0 (6-0).

PColeman:  Is this the year the East Region finally gets some respect in the NCAA tournament?  Especially after Fisher's respectable showing vs. Mount Union?  It would be cool to see the East Region Champion possibly play against the South or West Region Champion for once!!

East played West in 2004.
East played West in 2003.
East played South in 2001.

Respect is earned, really. And it doesn't have much bearing on the way the bracket is set up.

Pat,

I am assuming that those years the East was still the 4th rated region and their opponents were from the best region.  Does that make any sense?  I'm not sure.  I would much rather play Wesley or UW-W than Mount Union anyday (assuming Mount Union is the best team in the best region).
St. John Fisher College...King of the East

I can't say I know offhand, sorry.

Word around (Doyles)town in 2005 was that if Delaware Valley advanced to the national semifinals, they would have hosted Mount Union.  At that point the Aggies were undefeated and Mount had one loss.  I'm not sure what would have happened if Wabash (also undefeated) got through the North.

Of course, none of that happened.

Thanks for the update lumpy.  I'll see ya in a month.

Is this a Point Per Reception League?

maninyellowhat

Nope.  If you go to the league's home page, then click settings, it gives the points breakdown there.  I'll see if I can link it.

Caz Bombers

Things I note while perusing the IC roster on the website:

1) Tayer Ashkar moves from QB to WR.  The next Jeff O'Hara?

2) Has Bill Struzzi (or "You Know Who" to Fisher fans) always been a linebacker?  I thought he was a safety.

3) Jeff Bostic, still doin the two-sport thing.

4) Who will kick and punt? 3-year backup punter Nick Horowski is the only guy on the roster with a uniform #.  Thankfully Nick is evidently a patient fella who saw no need to stab Kitty or Aiello in the leg ala Mitch Cozad.

Dillon Dwyer, Charlie Gregg and Louis Hatzipetrakos are the 3 freshmen PK candidates listed.  Anyone know who's leading the competition?  I'm rooting for Hatzipetrakos so I can call him "Lubchenko" all season.  "Eez phony major!! Lubchenko learn nothing!! Nothing!!"

From what NSRB has heard, Dwyer is the go to guy.

and for Bostic: Nothing wrong with  2 sports... Look at Tariq... he was like a 4 sport athlete

Yes, but this is because Del Val was the 1 seed in the East and Mount Union the 2 seed in the North.

In fact, the East was the second seeded bracket in 2005. It wasn't able to come through.

I hope that works out... It seems like there's a lot of talent @ Wide Out right now.
