Just checked out the list of 2007 newbies at SJF and WOW check out the size of some of these kids....

Matthew Conway OL 6-4 310 Fr. Dansville Dansville

Mark Del Santo OL 6-4 310 Fr. Union Endicott Endicott

Dominic Fotia OL 6-8 295 Fr. Lockport Lockport

Kyle Macey DL 6-2 300 Fr. Lansingburgh Troy

Alston Mays OL 6-3 300 Fr. St. Joseph's Buffalo

Mitchell Schaefer OL 6-6 280 Fr. St. Mary's Depew

Peter  Soehner OL 6-5 280 Fr. Honeoye Falls-Lima Honeoye Falls

Joseph Stotsky OL 6-4 315 Fr. Liverpool Liverpool

plus there is about 4 or 5 guys around the 6-3 250 lb range....

The JV line is going to be SICK....

Even when they sucked SJF had a gigantic OLine.  If nothing else, Vos has proven an ability to recruit the big uglies.

The only thing on the list that really worries me is seeing a kid from UE at IC.  IC had UE on lockdown for a long time.

You should also be worried about that kid from Lockport, he was ranked #64 by Scout.com for Offensive Tackles.  Im not sure he'll start right away, seeing that they have 2 very good Tackles returning, but he'll for sure be a guy that will be dominating the E-8 for the next few years....

You also might have to be worried that the kid might not be that good if he is that size and didn't even get any offers from 1-aa schools.  I wish him well but its not uncommon for a big guy like that to be a bust at d-3.  SJF does have great big lineman though so we will see.

He originally signed w/ D-1AA Maine, but turned down the scholarship to come to SJF....

Hmmm.  I always wonder why someone would do that and choose to pay tens of thousands extra a year.  I have a buddy that coaches at Maine, Ill find out.

2) Has Bill Struzzi (or "You Know Who" to Fisher fans) always been a linebacker?  I thought he was a safety.

#19, i will never say his name out loud, was a safety he's making the switch to LBer this season....

Ha Ha... I'll be sure to tell your wife that.

BTW- MIOH is from Byron.  The better half of Byron-Bergen.

MIOH is now getting ready for his draft... MIOH is taking Tom Brady #1... He's all you really need... according to Stephan A. Smith & the Boston Globe.

I'm taking JaMarcus Russell.  Oakland is poised for a huge offensive season!

I'll give you that looks like an impressive class, but the only thing it proves is that the JV line is gonna be HUGE.  If you're that big, you better be able to move.  St Johns wins every year with (realatively) small D-Lines and O-Lines.  but they can move.

I'm not saying these guys can't but size isn't everything....  (didn't we talk about this last week?)

There is no better half of that god forsaken place, I lived there w/ Shannon while at SJF and was bored out of mind.

Is Ralph and Rosie's on the Byron or Bergen side?

MIOH loves the sweet sauce as well...

HOWEVA (Stephan A. Voice)

Bergen does not have the Byron Hotel... which you clearly did not visit during your stay in Bergen.  It's the most entertaining place to be in WNY.

Do you think Brady Quinn will be around for my 2nd round pick?  I'm locking him up!

Although Stephen A. is an idiot, I snagged Bridget's baby daddy in my earlier draft - I'm sure he'll be putting up some good numbers w/ Randy & Co. this year.

Quinn should go fairly quickly - He'll be starting by the 3rd or 4th week IMHO.
