Caught a bit of practice today, things looked good and focused.  Juvan connected with a beautiful pass to Bostic going up the sideline in one on one drills vs. the secondary. 

They brought out the chains and played blue vs. white from the 20 for two drives.  Offense scored on both.  Baez had a great 15 yard run through a big hole over the left guard.  TD pass on a dump pass to Witbeck the FB.

Second string offense scored on the second drive.  Converted on a 4th and 1 wishbone to keep the drive alive.  I think Benscome ended up with the scoring TD.

Samela the CB continues to look good, as does Kyle Crandall who seems to have the 3rd WR job as of now.  Starting defense continues to look tough, though there may not be a ton of depth.

Lots of one on one lineman drills.  Great to see the team focused for Saterday... can't wait!

In other news, great night for the Cubs.  The Brewers, headed by their horrible manager, are completely done.

Lineback was very close to going to the game with his friends but the extreme humidity and scalper prices kept him planted in front of the TV.  Good win.

FDC chants "NICE GAME FISHER" (while many Bomber parents join in) after the comeback victory. That would indicate a pretty high level of respect to me... I guarantee you... you'll never hear that at an IC-Cortland tilt.   

I was chanting "Nice Game IC" after that field goal in OT.  Didn't you hear me?

What is going on with Rafer Alston?  He seems determined to make Michael Vick look like man of the year.  Arrested for assault, and a couple weeks later brought in for slicing some dude's neck at a nightclub?  The NBA's got a long way to go to restore their image, although everyone does look good arriving to the arena in suits.

  Did Dubbz or Tecmo see who was returning kicks in the Cornell scrimmage?

At the cornell scrimmage they do not do kickoffs or punt returns.  They do the entire formation, kick the ball, run down the field, only to have it be a MANDATORY fair catch. 

I spoke with the Quarterbacks Coach for Cornell yesterday and he said "man when your big ole #89 came walking onto the field all of our coaches stopped and went 'ooooo.'"  That kid is a "dream reciever."  6'5" 215lbs with HANDS! Our conversation went for about 20 minutes and I learned a lot and it was interesting to hear what he saw.

Now... We have a dream reciever on our roster and we threw to him TWICE saterday!!!! those who got my pm know what happened the rest of the game that got me mad. last year he had a wopping 8 catches. but, with the welch system and our new West Coast offense I see him getting 6-9 balls thrown his way per game.
