from my sources at school...the updates to the basketball court are finished at least for now unless it is a whole new arena which from what I have heard is not that unlikley...the weight room will always be an issue and would not be that hard of a fix...they just have to do something about it... THough there are plans on the board for a concession stand a terrace visitor stand and bathrooms

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Whats with kickers being from Florida... Sean Teufel (freshman Kicker) @ Lycoming  ... FYI Teufel is german for Devil.

NSRB's unhealthy obsession w/ kickers is starting to make MIOH question NSRB's orientation

just remember, it was MIOH who was one of NSRB's Orientation Leaders...  - houshimazode!

You can lead a horse to water... (or in this case... a 17 year old to girls)

I think thats the other way around: let the 17 year old lead the girls you... and MIOH & MIYH will take care of the rest.  not much to work with when all the good ones have been taken

eh bombers.
question...  now that we have reached the Juvan/ grastdorf era... will the Bomber see the return of "the option" ?  or have we put that cursed play to rest for good?

realistic

If they could run it consistantly and well...then I have no problem with it.  However, in the past (as you well know) it has been a sporadic play that has given many fans (realistic inlcuded) heart attacks.

For now, I like the sound of a West Coast offense with a mobile QB.  No option necessary.

Agreed. He has to prove himself on the field this fall. But as far as ability goes this kid can run. He's a weeble wobble
If a weeble wobbles in the second level, does he still not fall down>

As I understand it, there is supposed to be a terrace with concessions built on the hill that extends off of the Student Life Center.  I also heard that they are going to thaw out the hotdogs before trying to sell them at half-time this year.

fisheralum91

thats all well and good- but any word on the br's and the visiting bleachers?

boobyhasgameyo

The solution to this problem is so obvious.  If visitors have such a hard time seeing over the players, Fisher should just lay out about 75 chairs on the opponents side and have all the players and coaches sit during the game.

Now wouldn't that look awkward.....

I started a Pick 'em Thread for the Empire 8 and listed this weeks upcoming games for anyone interested.

Pep has wasted a lot of posts on Fisher's visitor seating. Fact is, no one at Fisher seems to care whether the folks on the visitors' side can see. Heck, there are taller bleachers backed up against that despicable seating, facing in the other direction. What would it take to use them? While not great, it would be an improvement.

Pep recently scouted out Thiel's new stadium to secure a plan for seating the band. There is seating only on the home side. A cemetery butts up against the visitors' bench. (Wishful thinking, perhaps, that the crowd behind the visitors would be dead.) Thiel wisely labeled its bleachers, however, awarding the visitors their own section at one end of the stands. Pep is happy with that...
Much like Growney, they have "chair" seats around midfield, labeled "Reserved" seating with numbered seats.

Some teams in the Empire 8 have a decent following on the road. Empire 8 member schools should accommodate.

As for the question about whether it's too early for predictions....Pep thinks Thursday is as good a day as any for predictions. What does everyone else think?

P.S. Another case in which one should read those messages posted while one was formulating one's own.....go ahead, pick 'em!

Quote of the day:

As some may know, I'm coaching middle school softball this year.  We've got some real studs, and a few who have never played before.  The following happened during warmups today with a first year softball player (FYSP)

FYSP: So if the ball bounces, and I catch it, is the batter out?
MIYH: Nope.  If the ball touches the ground, then you have to throw the runner out.
FYSP: Huh.  That's not how it is on the Wii.

Good times.

Good for you Tecmo.  Where is this place?

172 Millard Hill, Newfield, NY.

Put in our final offer which was still 12k below what he said he couldn't go lower than.  Were pleasantly surprised that they accepted!!  I guess that's what a house being on the market for nearly a year will do.

Now come the joys of living with a mortgage.  Trying to convince Mrs. Tecmo to go private, and work for the county at $60 an hour as many in her field do.  Tecmo would have to coach eleven sports to compete with that.  I guess I have a sugar mama.

Tecmo House!

Looks kind of lonely Tecmo! Where's your nearest neighbor, mile down the road?

Seriously though, congrats and +k on the new house. Big step!

Millard Hill.  That's about as convenient as you can get.  Easy and quick to get to school in the mornings.
