Supermans first year at fisher was the only day that fisher cancelled classes for weather... the wind was about 50 MPH and they said that we were not allowed outside...SUperman ran to the libarary and he almost got knocked down

When I was a junior they closed 96B because of snow and ice, which if you don't know is one of two ways, both on huge slopes, to get to the college.

What did Peggy say?
"Let 'em play!"
We had classes anyway.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

The winter of 93-94 might have been the coldest JU has ever been in his life.  The problem with those winters isnt the cold or snow, it are those dam wind tunnels that form up between those buildings on the South Hill.....Man Im getting cold just thinking about it.

One night I had to walk home to the Gardens from Fall Creek, and by the time I got up that wind tunnel slope the muscles in my face were literally spasming. It felt like some creature was trying to escape like that scene in Alien.

Can't say I'll miss the winter all that much when I head west... but Autumn is my favorite season so that will be a bummer.

ohhh - thats bad.  Rough night at the Creeker?  I walked Dunbars to Grandview one night in february....but that one was worth it.

Speaking of Peggy....

NSRB almost forgot the best moment of the game when P. Willie came down from the stands to congratulate Tecmo on his wedding and wound up high-five'ing the FDC'ers after a big Bomber touchdown (cant remember which one it was).  nothing like jumping up in the air and slapping hands with the college president!

IC W (Williams)   1 more year!!!

Tell me you at least took the footbridge.....

we must have....I don't remember for sure.  Her friends left us.  Where did the footbridge come out on the South Hill?  I remember crossing in front of the big Brick house on Columbia(?).... but I think we would have been coming from the other direction if we took the bridge.

Realistic, Saranac lake is nasty in the winter, I have been there in Feb and it made Syracuse look like a tropical paradise the same time of year.  I swear it was just as cold and windy in SL as it was about 800 yards from the north pole when KS sub surfaced through the ice one december.  KS brother used to be stationed in Alaska and Baffin Bay while in the Coast Guard and he said the Saranac winters were nastier, mostly because of the wind and altitude.

Yeah all of your winter stories are nothing, get this.....

I grew up in up-upstate NY, and one day in the middle of the winter it was so cold I had to put on an extra sheet on my bed to keep from getting too cold.  You will all be happy to know it worked, I slept like a baby.

Just try and follow that story

The last time St. Lawrence beat Alfred was 1990 in Canton. Pep recalls that the Larries rolled to a 27-0 halftime lead only to have the Saxons rally behind QB Lance Locey for a 28-27 lead; the home team hit a late field goal to win it, 30-28.

Since 1990, AU won in 1991 31-6, 1992 36-26, 1993 44-7, 1994 39-14 1995 42-0, 1998 28-20, 1999 39-23, 2000 21-7, 2001 31-12, 200216-13, 2003 24-14, 2004 16-9 (at SLU with Sarge, after SLU Security tried to ban him from the campus, hauling in two TD passes), 2005 42-7 and 2006 17-14.

That Saxon Silly Holstein bounces back and forth between Boston and NY as a regional sales rep for BOSE. JJ still is udderly ridiculous.

Thanks for the knowledge Pep.

some great news for everett

Wow that is great news. I watched the whole game and at live speed I thought the hit looked really bad...for the Denver player. It is always a terrible sight to see ANY football player carried off like that. I hope and pray Everett will be okay.

As much as I hate to have that play remind me of anything I was thinking earlier today about the Alfred player Julio. Does anyone have an update on his progress? It is such a shame that stuff like that has to happen. I really do feel for anyone that is in any way connected to something like that. I could not begin to understand I guess.
