What's the reason for UW-LaCrosse swaping spots with Fisher in the top 25?  Not familiar at all with UW-La or their opponent...were they a tougher team than UR?
I notice UW-La had to go to OT to win.  Not sure what's taken into account in  voting.

SJF recieved more votes this week than they did last week, its not a case of anything they did just a case of another team vaulting in front of them.  FYI UW-LaCrosse beat down 11th ranked Hardin Simmons and then just beat Azusa Pacific a decent NAIA squad.  SJF and UW LAX have been pretty tight in the ammount of votes recieved all year, so its no disrespect to SJF here.

Asuza Pacific is decent, but nothing spectacular (nor is UR) . It could be Worse.  Washington and Jefferson beat a team 50-14 and got leaped by and idle Trinity team.   Looks like some of the pollsters flip flop

I think lost in all of this talk of the big story of IC droping a game to a team in conference, is the SC loss to Montclaire State. Springfield having a loss before they go into conference is really a big deal because if they do drop a game to Fisher, Ithaca, or Alfred, and they do not win the AQ, it is really tough to get a at large bid with 2 losses. It has proven in the past to be true. It is not impossible, but it is very difficult.

That loss really makes every conference game a must win for SC. I think it is going to be tough for any team to go undefeated in the conference. Just too many good teams.
GO FISHER!!!

Wow...I guess it could be a lot worse. The way I see it, it is really nice to be ranked as high as possible...but where it really matters is game to game. If Fisher wins every game they play this year, they will be ranked number 1 at the end of the season.
GO FISHER!!!

Oh wait maybe you mean including the playoffs.  If so, that is a tall order my friend.

Yes, that does include the playoffs. And yes, it is a VERY tall order. However, if they did win all of the regular season games, and all of the playoff games, they would be the national champs.

I am not counting on that happening, but I was just making the point that rankings are all based on the moment at hand...while the overall season is what we will remember.
GO FISHER!!!

what are you talking about... fisher should be ranked number 1 just for waking up...who is this mount union that you talk about...they suck...they're nothing they cheated worse then Bill Belichick to win those so called "9" national champions

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

New top 25 released from D3football.com....

East Region notes:

Fisher goes from 5 to 6 as UW-La Crosse jumps them.

Springfield falls to 18

Rowan stays at 21

Montclair State busts in to 24

And Alfred is still on the outside looking in, they would be the "27th" team in the nation.

That is brutal.  I am now 100% confident that Alfred is losing on Saterday and I'll never see the Saxons in the top 25.   :'(

If they don't beat Springfield then yeah, I wouldn't think they would get in for a while.

Beating St. Lawrence wasn't anywhere near as impressive as Montclair beating Springfield.

Pep is impressed both with Montclair's ambitious schedule and its results to date. It was the Red Hawks that knocked off AU's unbeaten 1981 squad, 13-12, in AU's first and only appearance in the NCAAs.

Pep, in the East Region fan poll, has given Montclair credit from the start. As the Saxons are tested with Springfield, the Red Hawks will be as well at Wesley.

Here we go again, Montclair beats Springfield and is out voted 166-79, not even close let alone the disrespect in the standings.  That's what happens when humans vote.
