I'm surprised anyone was at the Fisher game.  Were they giving out free cowbells that night?
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

understood---i guess i wasnt being sarcastic enough.

they did have an abundance of fisher garb on sale though.

We are every team's biggest game.  That means, when we stumble, everyone goes nuts.  Comes with being the king of the hill.

As for dealing with a loss...its easy to deal with when you have a longstanding tradition of winning and respect.  No one will remember this Hartwick loss in 20 years.

Because they live in Pittsford, New York.  What the hell else are they going to do?

fisheralum91

bowler- im not slinging arrows---well maybe a little- i am just very suprised that there isnt more backlash.
god knows you guys will rebound- i just  hope it isnt next week

It'd be ok to sling arrows.  We did lose to a perennial bottom feeder.  Just don't expect to get a lot of reaction from us.

fisheralum91

i guess i wasnt trying to get a response-- figured that would have happened on its own.

jose...I think your fooling yourself to say that Ithaca is the biggest game on all of these teams schedules...why would it be Ithaca when you have the 6th ranked team in the country, that battled hard against  the all time great program in dIII history

IC guys- im still laughing here--can you hear yourselves.
IT WAS HARTWICK.
Im still shocked at the tameness of the responses to the LOSS.
How is that anyway better for the league?
and please dont give me the any given sat. routine.

It's better for the league because it proves your bottom teams aren't totally useless.

Right. Couldn't have said it any better, Pat. But I'll try. It means the conference is strong as a whole and not just the top two or three, and then everyone else lagging behind.

fisheralum91

bud crew- i get it.
i was enjoying a momment.

i need to use the smileys more i guess

Doesn't make up for Hartwick losing to WNEC, however.

If Fisher can beat IC next week, I really believe we have a great shot at 10-0.

Quote from: sjfcards on September 16, 2007, 11:33:12 AM
well 6 days and counting till the big one next week. Fisher/Ithaca is still going to be a good one. IC can get right back into the mix for the AQ with a win. I can't wait. I will be there early with the grill goin. Look for the tailgate with the big Fisher Flag...

hmmm.
when then can we call the IC SJFC game a rivalry?

Pep wonders what's the SJF obsession with calling the IC-SJF football game a rivalry?

and maybe Ithaca-Fisher to see if Fisher can do something it has never done (and apparently no other private school in a long time).
