IC guys- im still laughing here--can you hear yourselves.
IT WAS HARTWICK.
Im still shocked at the tameness of the responses to the LOSS.
How is that anyway better for the league?
and please dont give me the any given sat. routine.

It's better for the league because it proves your bottom teams aren't totally useless.

Right. Couldn't have said it any better, Pat. But I'll try. It means the conference is strong as a whole and not just the top two or three, and then everyone else lagging behind.

(Edit:  Agreeing with what Pat already said basically)

This argument holds water until you look at Hartwick's loss this year...against Western New England of the NEFC.  This sort of makes the Ithaca loss look more disturbing, even from a league view from up high.

If Fisher can beat IC next week, I really believe we have a great shot at 10-0.

well 6 days and counting till the big one next week. Fisher/Ithaca is still going to be a good one. IC can get right back into the mix for the AQ with a win. I can't wait. I will be there early with the grill goin. Look for the tailgate with the big Fisher Flag...

hmmm.
when then can we call the IC SJFC game a rivalry?

Pep wonders what's the SJF obsession with calling the IC-SJF football game a rivalry?

and maybe Ithaca-Fisher to see if Fisher can do something it has never done (and apparently no other private school in a long time).

Good use of the witnesses' own statements against them, Counselor.  Impeach them!

well jose's argument is leaking a lot because...my comment was that Fisher is a bigger target this year the Ithaca... and Jose is using all Fisher comments...so how can Fisher be Fisher's biggest game...  I'm not arguing that Fisher Ithaca is a big a game... it is and it's probably Fisher's Biggest game...but that doesn't mean that teams aren't going to get up to knock off fisher or even springfield

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Thanks Counselor.  I have spent the last three days prepping for a week's worth of depos and am kind of combative right now.

EDIT: Super, when did Pep become a Fisher fan?

superman57

but pep was not making a comment Alfred-Ithaca he was in fact making a comment about Fisher-Ithaca...so it still proves my point

I have a headache after reading that...Especially the part where you're saying that Fisher/Ithaca isn't a big game, and then that Fisher/Ithaca is Fisher's biggest game.  I need a cocktail...quickly.

Hysterical, I was posting the exact same thing.

Super is like the drunk loner in the corner of the neighborhood sports bar that wants to slur his way through an explanation of his belief that (Insert Athlete or Team Here) is the best ever.

Pep was inquiring as to why Fisher fans are so obsessed with calling its annual contest with Ithaca a "rivalry." Pep surmises that Fisher fans would like to think their program has risen to the height of South Hill and play at the same level.

Pep contends that Alfred plays at the highest level of any New York State football program as Merrill Field is at about 1762 feet.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!

However, you don't risk bodily injury as much as you do at Hartwick's field...you could easily roll down a mountain or compress your neck if you don't play your cards right there...So, Hartwick plays at the highest level with respect to the rest of its campus.

I guess we will just have to see in a week SJF fans.  We have gone back and forth for a few years now, yes, you are 6th in the country and you getting excited about it is great but we have been there before many times.  Lets just see after this weekend.

Jose,

I have to say I am a bit disappointed.  I just read back on the past 7 pages or so and if you mean it or not you sound pretty malicious and a touch egocentric.  I look most forward to the Ithaca-Fisher game but I really don't like how you just blatantly call Ithaca the king of the hill that everybody looks too.  Since the creation of the E8 Fisher has done better than Ithaca and you can't really dispute that.  Fisher has never had a losing record in the E8, and has done more in the playoffs.  You guys are also so quick to point out the demise of other schools such as Brockport or Buff State but remain blind to the fact your last national championship was nearly 20 years ago and you guys are not on the elite level any longer, just a very good progam same as Fisher, Springfield, etc.  Annnnnyway I have to go for now, but I will be back on later to check your response.  I assume it has to turn ugly since this is the week Fisher plays Ithaca but it just seemed a bit overly harsh, and my comments may seem that way as well but that's not the intended reaction.

On another topic... did anyone listen to the ICB Post-Game show?

MIOH was running back and forth to the Kelvinator trying to drown his sorrows in PBR... but he heard a few people call in.

MIOH thought it was pretty funny stuff... they clearly don't screen callers for signs of intelligence... so there were some great comments.

Super - I hope you call in after next week's game.
