Rogans is back....  its just.... different.  Currently it doesnt even hold a candle to the previous owners (King Sub)... the place really took a couple steps back.  But they still have BBQ Chicken & Bacon Pizza, and they still deliver beer...

BJ Subs in the Towers Concourse were the best.  Nothing like cramming 25 people into a tiny little subshop all the while the cute 1-7's were coming in or walking by in their pajamas...

speaking of food.  can somebody tell me the latest on WINGS.. or WINGS over ITHACA.. or whatever its called now.  Is it still in business? Man, does NSRB have a hankerin' for some Golden BBQ boneless wings

NSRB shows his youth again.  First he didn't know the Circles parties at the start of the year and now he refers to the new sub shop in the Towers (which was an actual Subway in the old days).  What are they teaching these kids?

Next thing you know, he is going to say they didn't have chicken fingers and fries at late night dining.

NSRB experience the LAST circles party to kick -off the year...  he even was in attendance at the Solars and actually locked out a member of the ICPD as he approached the sliding glass door.

NSRB is old enough to remember the Double Nickel, Semesters, Benchwarmers in its original location to name a few...

Black QB in big market equals being criticized more, I dont think you can use Eli and Chad as examples because they are in NYC and well even God would be criticized in NYC.  I do think he has a legitimate point though, Mike Vick was criticized to no end while he was playing even though they were winning games.  The same will be said about Vince Young eventually.

Q- Late night was awesome!  It took MIOH until the 2nd semester until he discovered that was even an option... then he went every night... until gaining about 17 lbs.

Frank - Does he mean on the field or off?  MIOH thinks he has a legit gripe... as far as off the field stuff goes... you don't hear media members asking Chad or Eli what they think about Mike Vick or The "Rush Hour" or the White Youth of America.  

That being said... I think he's under the same microscope as all QB's when you step on the field.  Not a good time for that to come out after the beating his E.A.G.L.E.S. have taken the 1st 2 weeks... makes him sound like a cry-baby

Rex Grossman doesn't prove that somewhat wrong, though?  Went to the Super Bowl and yet weathered all sorts of complaints re: his play...

JK agrees with MIOH that the new Wings over Ithaca are terrible.  The only time Wings was good was JK's frosh year (04-05).  Once they changed owners and changed how they made the wings, it was all over.

JK has not set foot in the new Rogans since they closed...I refuse untill they bring back the growlers of Yuengling...and Kings Subs

Towards the end of the season yes, Rexy was getting hammered because he was playing bad.  Even if McNabb and the other QB's in question are playing well they are still getting hammered by the media....

Ok McNabb is criticezed because he is in Philadelphia and they are all insane... (no offense PBR) they are as intense as New Yorkers in some sorts...McNabb was hearled as the savior when he led that team to the super bowl...

If they don't have a stinger at Rogans then it is not rogans.  Heaping helping of philly cheese steak, 2 pieces of spicy chicken fingers, mozzarella cheese and ranch dressing between two pieces of bread.  It was love in a sandwich.  I do miss Wegmans out here in cali though

Yeah, I don't think it's logically sound to say that just because white QBs are also criticized, black QBs are therefore NOT unfairly criticized. All QBs are criticized, it's just a matter of black ones taking a bit more heat and perhaps taking the heat in different ways and areas.


Re: Rogans... I went there on my last trip to Ithaca with an old buddy, remembering the days you could get a Yuenling draft and a slice for $3 all told. We go in... no more draft beer. So we order our pizza, grab some cans of PBR (holla) and ask the girl if we can drink them there. She says sure. We start to drink them, only to have the manager come over and tell us that no, we can in fact not drink them there, and we have to leave. We point out that we are waiting for pizza that we ordered, so he suggests this old beaten down picnic table out back right next to 96. All in all a crappy experience.

The new pizza is pretty good, though.
