I say over...
fisher 65 Ithaca 2

If Fisher kicks Ithaca's ass that badly, Ithaca probably won't be getting a safety. So I'm going to assume you're reimbursing Ithaca for one of the two safeties they were robbed of at Growney last year.

here we go again...they lost 34-10.  deal with it.

JK agrees with MIOH that the new Wings over Ithaca are terrible.  The only time Wings was good was JK's frosh year (04-05).  Once they changed owners and changed how they made the wings, it was all over.

JK has not set foot in the new Rogans since they closed...I refuse untill they bring back the growlers of Yuengling...and Kings Subs

i know the guy that runs the new Rogans and talked to him last week, he is actuallly putting a small bar in at the end of the corner, it wont be long guys !!!!

tecmobowler

Yep, I actually know one of the guys who is a partner in on the new Rogan's as well.  They've really brightened things up in there.

The King Subs people ran the place into the ground.  It was a dump in there, a complete mess.  Add their horrendous yellow paint job, and the fact they were behind months on their rent payments, and it was a losing situation.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

I just wanna say congrats to Tecmo and Mrs. Tecmo on the recent .5% decrease the feds put on intrest rates yesterday!

WOO Go Bombers!

Re: Rogans.... This turnover was very bad.  The Big Al's turnover however, could ahve been worse.  Manley's Mighty Mart bought Big Al's my Junior year and nearly ran the pizza into the ground.  It has taken them 4 years to finally get the Big Al's pizza tasting like Big Al's pizza.  Not to mention their wings are now half the size they used to be.   Luckily the cooks from Big Al's left and created their own pizza shop across the street called Italian Carry Out.   ICO was actually downtown and owned by a 400lb Italian guy that waddled around the store all day making pizza.  Man... that is a pizza place!!

NSRB- "Wings over-rated"  They are garbage!  Go to ICO if you want wings

Little late on this, but the tap room has the best wings in Ithaca, imo.  .25 Wednesdays were great.  And getting wasted there with MIOH and the 40 year-old mullet sporting townies for our bowling league banquet was one of the great memories of senior year.  Just wish Tecmo could've joined us.

"i can't wait to line up on saterday and see if your boys are as tough as you guys build them up to be."

realistic

wow - you guys are killing me with these Ithaca stories.  I feel old!

I think I am about 3 Rogans owners behind, they definately didn't have beer when I was there.

Big Al's got bought?  Do they still sell the Hillbilly Deluxe?  Its a travesty if they don't.

On to football.  I agress with PG04 and Bud Crew.  I dropped IC (obviously) after the 'wick loss...I still feel they have a great shot at a W Saterday.

Budcrew - agreed on the nice story on the courage bowl.  Nice to be reminded that it's not all about football.  Also, nice job with a Happier, more gentle BudCrew pic.

finally - Don't know how many of the other Around the Regions people read, but Adam Johnson has a nice story on PLU to start his this week.

It happened the year after you left.  I like Italian Carry Out (aka new Big Al's) a lot.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I'd +k for that if I could.

That too.

I'm surprised I didn't hear mention of the Crooked Board (R.I.P.) in Slaterville in the wing discussion.  14 bucks for all-you-can-eat wings and all-you-can-drink draft beer, lots of Cornell women to look at, lots of terrified Cornell boys to make fun of, and a bartender that had a crush on me and always rushed my wing orders.

Semesters?  Anyone?

enforcer is taking the FDC alumni to the crooked board.  Dubbz has never visited this establishment!

Bomber27: did you get to reep the benefits of semesters.   your era did most of their gatherings at the castaway, yeah?

Semesters?  Anyone?

Club Semesters closed in 1998.  the absolute best bar/club in the history of bar/clubs.  How can you beat free beer for a football team?  This is how my 4 years went at semesters.

*Freshman year- At the back bar at Semesters at 8pm hitting on the senior bartenders that were the hottest things I had seen at that point in my life.  Free beer, Southern Rock on the Jukebox and then some sloppy dancing with that girl in your Pshc 101 class to techno music....pricless.

*Sophmore year- Thought I was too cool and old for semesters and spent most of my time at American Pie.  Of course 90% of the time I ended up back at Semesters dancing with the chick from Enviornmental Politics

*Junior year- Start out at the apartment and hit downtown later in the night...Then back to club semesters again at 1pm for sloppy dancing with the chick from my Spanish Lit class

*Senior year- Starting out again at 8pm at the bar at semesters this time hitting on the freshman female bartenders and then dancing with some sloppy freshman that saw me dominate some poor Alfred lineman durning the game that day......

Hysterical.  +k.  Semesters didn't close in '98 Utah.  It was open from 1999-2003 when I was at IC but, they got hammered for some underage drinking issues in 2003 (I am shocked, SHOCKED to find underage drinking in such a reputable establishment) and basically faded into the background.

While I had many similar memories from semesters, my favorite moment was getting off the bus my freshman year in January (JoseQ's first ever winter) and seeing three girls standing in line wearing those backless shirts and not wearing coats.  YOU KNOW you are a slut if you aint even going to wear a coat when it is -8971289734 degrees out and windy.  Obviously, JoseQ aimed directly for the easy pickins.
