Is it safe to say that the final score will be closer than the game was?

Yes, IC was never really in it after the half. 70% of the crowd, save the FDC, was filing out with ~10 min to go in the 4th.

RE: Dood

Saxon, picked it up in the LLPP ... just kind of sticks.

Wow, just got back....That is alot of reading to catch up on.

I sat on the Ithaca side today so I could see from a higher elevation, one of the nicest views from up there seeing the lake and everything else.  I saw a man in an orange hat and a man in a yellow hat as I was walking by, did booby think about trying to make it through all the people in the crowd to say hello? sure he did...did he then think about how the conversation would go if he did go up?

Booby: "Hey guys, It's boobyhasgame yo!"

Men in their large hats:  <Silence at first>  "Hey man"

Booby: <Sensing the awkwardness>  "Well, see ya later"

So needless to say I decided against it.

Other thoughts....

I know it's been beaten like a dead horse, but good job Alfred, I think you impressed many people outside of the E8 with what happened today.

Juvan I thought did very well, there were a couple of overthrows that would have led to big plays but he was solid overall.

An exciting day, good job Fisher!

Go Cards!

RE: fdc

A) not as large as I had imagined it was (especially at butterfield). Lots of hype, not many deliverables there.

B) ER told me it was not the same MIYH as the one on here... so obviously I didn't go over. is there any truth to that or did ER have too many ML's before the game???

Booby, Thanks for your input.  It is going to be very interesting when the poll comes out.  After all the game was not on a neutral field, if you get my jist.

Congrats on a great win Saxon --- and of course Pep, Kaz, etc.

It's a fantastic win for your program, and yourselves as well. You've been very loyal and deserved to give springfield a nice beating. If that doesn't get you in the top 25, you'll never get there.

Tags,   Your comments have a refreshing sincerity not so often found in competing team posts.  I think the Alfred fans try to be factual and realistic.  Yes at this point we are enthused and look forward in the rest of the season to rational exchanges.  As one approaching senior citicenship I tend to read more than I post.  I am happy to say this year the general discussions on this site have been much more civil than the past.  Congrats on your victory. We Saxons know how the Bomber fans feel because we have been there and look forward to meeting SJF at Growney if all goes as planned

Jeez -- I figured you'd be less bitter with a win.

I would've said nice game and invited you over for a pbr booby.

And it was me Tags.  Er was a liar.  I told you I was going to be there!!!  Although we almost didn't survive the flight in.

Re: FDC.  There wasn't much of a turnout today, although I'm not sure if this is the new trend or not as there's only been one other home game.  Figured I'd see more yellow shirts out there what the importance of this game.  Oh well.

A win or loss is irrelevant to logic, rationale or reason.

2 losses this early.......I am starting to think there is more problems than on the field.  Who is the OC at Ithaca?  Who is calling the plays?  I know it is easy to critisize from afar but I mean, It could be a 4 or 5 loss season and we haven't had a non winning season in like 30 years.......

Then perhaps being less bitter in general would be a good idea. No way to go through life. :)

The repeated reference to bitterness only comes from Mr Coleman.  I am only curious in understanding the methodology in question.  Attacking me and refering to me as bitter only does disrespect to yourself.  Don't put words in my mouth or invent emotions attributable to me.  If you want to bring up bitter, are you -k'ing me because I question the poll?

We want Grastorf.....

I do want to see Grastorf... But I thought Danny J played well today

Dood, Juvan is not good.

I thought Juvan was actually pretty good.  Obviously his numbers don't show that.  But, especially in the first half, he was very efficient.  The second half was a different story, but they were trying to play catch up which is tough.  In the 2nd half Fisher really brought some pressure and it seemed like he fell apart somewhat.  But he does have a huge arm.  Accuracy is his issue I guess.

Good game overall though.  Entertaining and fun to watch.  The quality of the internet telecast was really good.

IC fans, keep your heads up.  We have a great conference with alot of really talented teams which is exciting.  Alfred guys, I'm thinking the season finale at Growney Stadium will be a showdown between 2 highly ranked teams.  But there is a long way to go thats for sure.
