Saying a coach will be fired, even in quasi-jest, really lacks taste -- especially when they have had umpteen winning seasons.  I'm not Ithaca fan, but you're old enough to know better than to levy such a charge.  If you think SJF is so great, then Ithaca was the underdog in the first place in that game -- so your analysis holds no water.

Good to see the true FDC faithful on Saterday.  Sorry I had to leave early to go to work - rest assured the game was on TV and radio once I got there.

A few thoughts:

-I won't name names, but I saw a few Bomber players both at the beer store and at the bar later in the day Saterday.  I understand you had a rough day, but shouldn't you be, oh, getting better, maybe?  Instead of drowning your sorrows in Bud Light and Jagerbombs?  I could barely bring myself to be social Saterday night, I was so down about the Bomber loss - I would think that the players would feel even worse, and would be spending time training instead of cat-calling 17s.

-Although I'll admit that there were a few times when I was cussing Welch up and down the wall, and although we Philly fans are notorious for tying up nooses at the first sign of a losing season, I'm confident that it would take a lot more than a few losses with an unstable coaching staff to cost Welch his job.  The man is very, very good at winning football games, and that's not a talent that fades quickly.

-At least the Eagles won.  Risking prematurity, I'll say it - Mac is back!  Sorry about your fantasy team, High Life.

-It's my understanding that IC radio keeps an eye on these boards, so this message is for y'all.  Don't quote my pre-game PBR-fueled strictly-in-jest score predictions on the air to make me and the rest of the FDC look like a**holes.  Anything along the lines of "a member of the First Down Club predicted the score at 51-2, ha ha ha" in the fourth quarter of a bitter loss is not only inappropriate for a home-team broadcast, it's insulting to the entire corps of Bomber fans.  I follow this team closely, and do my best to educate myself on our competitors, and I was in no way foolish enough to actually believe that the Bombers wouldn't have to fight tooth and nail for anything even close to a victory.  I doubt it was intentional, but it sure came off with an air of "ha ha, silly fan."  By insulting me in the way you did, you insulted the First Down Club, all Bomber faithful, and the very institution that you count yourselves members of.  As broadcasters, you shouldn't kick any fan when they're down, let alone your own.

As for the 52-2 prediction.  I can only assume you are the one that was interviewed on air before the game making the prediction.  How exactly did the radio guys insult you if you said it on the air.  Also, isn't this less than a week after one of you guys asked the radio guys to interview you so they didn't interview some new fan who would spout off something stupid.

Maybe it's just me but predicting 52-2 (even in jest) on the radio is pretty dumb.  But then again, so is going on the air drunk.  But maybe thats just the broadcaster in me.
