JU, hysterical posts.  +k.  You must have been locked in during that Fisher game to convince Butts to divert Wittman's carries to you (who I assume was one of your teammates based on other time references).

I actually came in right after Wittman.  But I had seen a few games before I came to IC, and had seen all the Stagg Bowls on tape.

Penalty on SJF....

Someone threw a cowbell on the field for a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty on SJF.

IC ball at the SJF 20.......

Ha!  ;D +k for your dreamy sense of humor

No, I think he was the same year (as Wittman).  But I played under him.

It looks like the respective employers of the E8 posters might actually turn a profit today...is it 'quieter' on here than normal?

JQV

Just quieter than Fisher-IC week.

Probably no one from Norwich around....just wondering what one might expect at Sabine Field this Saterday.

I want to say that Donovan averaged 4.5 yards percarry on Saturday, and Baez averaged around 7.  Not to say that those numbers would have held up with more carries, but its still not worth abandoning the run over.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

Hopefully not too many sleepy Saxons after that trip.

The 'Port is lurking dangerously in the shadows for SJF...I recall '95 we were 6-0 and ranked 4 in the East (back when play-off format was 16 teams with top 4 from each Region in) and 'Port came to us at 2-4 and beat us by returning a kick-off (after go-ahead FG) with 2 min to go.  The KR's name escapes my mind at the moment but I think it may have been Rob Howell...PG04, any insight? He was their starting tailback that year.

Anyway...that game almost scares me more than going to SC or facing AU who is a tough out (if at all) every year.

Not that I am overlooking them, but they just arnt physically imposing as they used to be now that SJF is starting to develop bigger, faster and stronger O-lines.  Brockport used to be able to just put out their guys and lean on people to move piles, they're not able to do that anymore vs SJF.

It will be a close game though....

With the long trip and interesting surroundings if AU doesnt keep their heads on tight they could be in for a let down.  NU is always physical and looking to hit some people.....
