I think it's safe to say that Losman and Leinart lost their starting jobs today.

PG, you were wrong about Edwards.

As the great Gordon Gekko once said:

"Never get emotional about feel good quarterback stories, it clouds your judgement"

You cannot CANNOT give the job to Edwards because he beat the Jets by 3 at home.  It was THE JETS.  I think you are still wrong.

1951-- Brooklyn Dodgers were 12 1/2 games in front of the NY giants on Aug 12 and lost a one game playoff for the NL  title-- Bobby Thompson hit a 9th inning home run . and the radio announcer screamed "the giants win the pennant" about four hundred times. Play off probability on Aug 12 was 99.75 %

The reason why Buffalo never gets anywhere is because they stir up QB controversies that ruin entire seasons.

I don't think we need that here.  Unless Edwards beats Dallas next week, I say Losman stays the guy.

Three-game playoff, actually.

I think blowing a seven-game lead in much less time belongs on this list as well.

Solid win for the Bombers yesterday over Brockport....the Bomber posters seem way too quiet. Brockport has shown improvement, with a win over Cortland to their credit. Pep wants to hear what the Bombers did to get back into winning form.
IC played a very sound football game yesterday. They got big plays when they needed them (example: The 88-yard TD pass from Juvan to Crandall), and played very solid defense, limiting the Golden Eagles, not a bad team at all, to just 53 rushing yards.

Here's hoping they use this momentum to even up their E8 record against Norwich and Utica.

What about blowing a 3-0 lead in the best of seven series in the ALCS?  Hmmmmm......

Fisher

Being at the game last night, it was painfully apparent that Hartwick's defensive unit was exhausted on the last drive which was a result of that 54 pound average against them up front versus Fisher's offensive line finally taking its toll.   I am sure the coaching staff recognized this which could have been a factor in making that last call.   We'll never know what the conversation was that led to the final decision by Head Coach Paul Vosburgh, but a coach's job is to put your players in the best position to make plays and to put them in the best position to be successful; something that did not happen in the final seconds last night.   With that being said, no matter what call is made on the field at ANY time during the game and at ANY position on the field, the players HAVE to execute the play.   You play your 1/11th, and if you do, any play will be successful.   Was it the right call?  No... but only because it did not work.  If Fisher scores on that play, Vosburgh is an aggressive genius who has full faith in his offensive unit.  Instead, today, the opinion is that Fisher is arrogant and Vosburgh has no faith in his kicker or his team in overtime.

It is amazing how just 3 yards can change a game, opinions and possibly a season.

The bottom line is all anyone ever talks about is "huge O-line, huge O-line, huge O-line"... If you're going to try and win the game and make a statement, I can semi-understand that. But ONLY if you say ok, we are much bigger than you, and we're going to run it right down your throat right now. You know it's coming, and there is nothing your going to do about it. We're going to end this thing.

Heck, I may even begin to understand the decision if they called some type of play action, tried to hit Smith on a slant, or get Harmon off a bootleg...

But doods, not only did they do none of the above, they brought in the backup QB and put it on his shoulders??? Honestly, who drew that one up? That kid must feel like garbage. Why put him in that position?

Don't kick the chip field goal to tie? ok fine. But to do what they did - Nobody can ever justify that, no matter how much they try to spin it.

Fisher has a game next week, right? Coaches are probably starting to gameplan for that. Time to move on.....

there is nothing wrong with discussing this stuff RT, nobody here is playing next week. We don't have to gameplan.

Pat Coleman

I don't think you can dictate the end of the conversation -- it's less than 24 hours old, plus, the posters don't have much game-planning to do, so let them talk. :)

Agreed.. and the slant was WIDE WIDE WIDE open on the previous play and was shocked that Kramer did not audible to it.   Hey, you learn more from losing than from winning.... that includes coaches.  Nothing is ever as good as it seems, and nothing is as ever as bad as it seems.   They'll recover and move forward.
