Not to double post, but if I were making a list of phrases I am tired of "driver's seat" would be near the top.

If you ask JoseQ, Large Marge is the only person in any driver's seat:

Who's the smart-aleck who put up the poll?  That's just what us folk in Mayberry need - more bulletin board material for the Wick!

Pep may need to walk over to Merrill Field tonight and remind the boys to concentrate and execute on Saterday or the game will be more exiting than we would like!
sorry kaz that was me

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Last Pep knew, Pep was in the driver's seat....of the 1992 AU Pepbandwagon that sadly stayed home :'( for the Norwich trip, having been replaced by a newer, quieter, rental van for the long excursion into the Green Mountain State. The 1992 has a noisy muffler, a squeaky pulley and various and sundry other mysterious noises that attract blank stares from pedestrians everywhere.

AU Pepbandwagon = "Sound" of the Saxons!

I agree...let's get rid of the driver's seat stuff...there is so much football left to play.  It should be a great weekend...at the very worst it will give us a whole bunch of things to talk about next week.

Besides...I think that no matter what happens, the Empire 8 is going to get a pool C rep after it all plays out.  Things would almost have to go crazy for it not too...

that is in no way guaranteed.  As you just said, there is a lot of football left to play.  2-loss teams almost never get a pool C bid and the way the E8 is beating up on each other the champ could very well have 2 losses...

Sorry...that was really just an opinion...it should have said no matter what I THINK the Empire 8 has a good chance at getting a pool C bid...

Finally the sequel to "bend ya knees" Is this one going to be called "swallow it" or does naughty by nature still have the rights to that one?

actually they're doing a bonus track together.  its called, "All I want for Christmas is to get to 3rd Base"  Other tracks to include: "Jingle Balls", "Rudy the Red-nosed dealer", "I'm Dreaming of a Mets Post Season", and a special hidden track with most of the Mets club-house singing "Feliz Navidad." Also available is Lastings latest double, a remix of Counting Crows "A Long December September" and DMB's "Crash" and a tribute to Billy Joel "We Didnt Stop the Phillies"

"walk off home run" is the phrase Garnet hates most.  Why do those idiots broadcasting games and all those clowns on ESPN no longer call it what it really is?   A game winning homerun!

I am actually pretty pumped for the SC-IC game.  It will be interesting to see how their new field turf changes things for them.  They were so damn fast on that old track.

I think IC-SC is shaping up to be a classic along the lines of the BY-Cahill battles that came down in the 55-52 range.
