I am actually pretty pumped for the SC-IC game.  It will be interesting to see how their new field turf changes things for them.  They were so damn fast on that old track.

I think IC-SC is shaping up to be a classic along the lines of the BY-Cahill battles that came down in the 55-52 range.

Could be a game for Saxon73 to see as AU is at 'bart - much easier trip to S'fld.

In the midst of all the jargon and blather and such surrounding home runs (blast, bomb, dinger, chicks dig the long ball) I actually don't mind "walk-off home run." It wasn't first used by some moronic talking head in Bristol -- it was Dennis Eckersley who used it after surrendering one in the 88 World Series.

What I don't like is using walk-off to reference ANYTHING else in baseball -- a walk-off single, walk-off wild pitch, walk-off sac fly, blah blah blah.

dood get over your self...you have very little chances of getting the AQ...Alfred is too good and Hartwick can't stop the run so they will have a hard time stopping Chris sharpe and two losses basically ends your hopes and you will not get a pool c because you got routed by WNEC

Winner of this game definately has the inside track for the AQ in the Empire 8.  Once again, Alfred has to be the favorite in this game.  I would, however, get over who the WNEC loss.  It is pretty much an elementary arguement.  While Alfred's win over Springfield was enormous...they are sitting at 4-0 with wins against Thiel (2-3), St. Lawrence (2-2), Springfield (2-2), and Norwich (2-3).  No one over .500.

If Alfred wins the game...they will still have two of the big 4 opponents left in Fisher and Ithaca.  A loss to Fisher, even with that win against Wick, puts a big dent in their AQ status, and would have to hope to finish 9-1 to get a pool C bid, which is never a gimmie.  If Hartwick, however, wins this Saturday, they could still lose to Springfield...but with Springfield having one E8 loss already and having both Fisher and Ithaca left on the schedule BEFORE they play Hartwick, the game could have less appeal with only two weeks left in the regular season.

Bottom line...let the games play out.  If Hartwick would lose simply becuase they couldn't stop the run, then they should have lost to BOTH Ithaca and Fisher.  This is why they actually play the games out...

Dear God I hope by big 4 you mean Fisher, Ithaca, Alfred, Springfield.

Springfield will lose at least 2 more games this year... so MIOH wouldn't call them a big anything... except disappointment.

hey pride

haha nice mioh +k

although i think Springfield is better than the beatdown they received courtesy of Alfred, and they lost in a close one to a good Montclair State team.  I have some concerns about Fisher traveling to Springfield this year that's all I'm saying lol.

Of course I meant Fisher, Ithaca, Alfred, and Springfield as the big 4.  Even a "dream season" shouldn't get you into the Big 4 category.  That is earned over time and consistency.

Who knows...maybe.  Did anyone think that Fisher would be mentioned in anyone's Big 4 before 2002???  I doubt it...but they have certainly earned it recently...

The issue with the Wick is they lose the two players that are their team...Losing Boltus and Creapaper will certainly hurt them next year...

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

No...they only lose Crea.  Boltus is only a Junior.  Losing Crea will be a HUGE loss though...

Looking on the bright side..

SC has one conference loss along with SJF.

The advantage though, SC has 6 remaining home games.  I gotta think AU and Wick will each lose one at some point.

I like SC's chances at "stagg" field.

theoriginalupstate

Hartwick will be ok w/o Crea, its Boltus (when he does graduate) that will be the one missed.....

Hartwick's system is pretty good when it has a legit QB (Pincelli, Boltus)....

When they do graduate Boltus, they'll go back to being hartwick....
