i guess im confused---If fisher wins out--they would most likely be tied with AU and possibly Hartwick---if wick beats springfield...
who gets the e8?

Three way tie.  AQ determines playoffs.... i think.

As for the top 10, Ithaca should not be in there.  AND I'M AN ITHACA FAN!  Hartwicks offense if good and can do what it wants to who it wants. Posting over 500 yards at the best team in the conference isnt too shabby.  They got snubbed cus their Hartwick... a.k.a.  Soccer school   :)

i agree- snub is on.
i respect that offense- saw it live and it was very talented.
should get the number 10 spot

Overal...it doesn't matter.  The 10 spot doesn't get anyone a playoff spot.  Just hard to imagine what Ithaca is doing there this week.  Still a TON of football left to play.  It will work it self out.

Around the East Region is up.  Not too surprised about the top 10.  Ithaca slips in at 10, and DewCrew lists Hartwick as 10a.

Hartwick should be ahead of Ithaca....

No question.  Same record...won the head to head meeting...and beat an opponent (SJF) that beat Ithaca pretty good.

Actually how in the world did this happen?  No disrespect to Ithaca, but they haven't beaten anyone this year.  Lycoming (0-5), Kings (0-5), Brockport (2-3), and Norwich (2-3) aren't exactly lighting it up.  Thats a 4-16 record combined.  I know polls don't mean anything, but this ranking has got to be strictly based on past teams, and not this year's team.

RPI hasnt beaten anyone that impressive either though.  But its the two losses that should keep them out, not the wins vs. nobodies.....

Only 1 NCAA bid in the ATR column for the E8?  Hmmm...  Budcrew are you making such bold predictions just to get a rise outta your post patterns entourage?  Ah the media and their hidden agendas.

On another note.  AU plays Utica this weekend (should take another stab at Budcrew here) and usually I would make a sarcastic jab at those wiley Hartwick posters about playing their nemesis (spellcheck that).  However, after putting up 3 3-way teasers with the Cowboys on Monday to make the 'boys -1, only to see the absolute worst case scenario happen when they come back to win and make me post on my bets and lose, I'm taking the high road.  Apparently anything can happen when too cocky.

So....   Utica is a great team.  They are on the verge of reaching their potential and becoming an E8 powerhouse.  All they need is one big break out game.  That could happen this weekend against the #1 ranked east region Saxons.

Oh god...   this is killing me.

RPI > Ithaca. It's science.

NSRB sure hopes AU roughs up 'lil Syracuse this weekend so when the Bombers come to town we can get a big win to pad our stats.

tough break for Hartwick with IC gettin the 10 spot. think of it as a popularity contest... so dont take it personal

any thoughts on the "HEY PRIDE" guys the rest of the season.  they're a tough team any guesses on how they'll finish the season?

NSRB's lady friend has been stuck in Syracuse since Sunday when her car got impounded due to stupid Geico people and the DMV( (Geico didnt submit the paperwork to the DMV when the lady friend moved to ERIE, PA and was towed for having a suspended insurance... which isnt true). I highly suggest any and all of you to get rid of geico ASAP. Worst people to deal with, and claim zero responsibility for their actions... and zero customer service.

NSRB be sure NSRBLF covers her bases while dealing with Insurance and DMV.  KS had same type of problem in NJ.  KS ended up losing his license for driving without insurance when KS did not know he did not have insurance.  Allstate cancelled because a bill got sent back undeliverable by the post office.  Judge told KS is was his problem and took KS license for a year.

We talked about this a few days ago actually.  It is very possible that a 3-way tie could occur at the top of the E8.  Then, all sorts of things come into play to determine the AQ.

Scores vs. the 5,6,and 7 teams at the bottom of the conference.
Strength of Schedule Index
And some other crap I cant remember...

My guess is, that if Fisher finishes at 9-1 (5-1), Alfred at 9-1 (5-1), and Hartwick at 8-2 (5-1), Hartwick will most likely be left out of the big dance.  Either Fisher or Alfred will get the AQ, with the other getting a Pool C bid.  Hartwick's strength of schedule would be the key if this happens.  Their non-conference slate includes Western New England, Husson, Becker, and Mt. Ida.  Thats pretty weak.  Husson is competitive, but the other 3 are terrible (although WNE beat Hartwick somehow).  Fisher's non-conference slate includes Kings, Buffalo State, Rochester, and Brockport.

HERE's WHAT US BOMBER FANS ARE HOPING FOR:

1) Ithaca wins out and finishes with 2 loses in the E8
2) Alfred loses to Fisher and Ithaca. Alfred finishes with 2 loses in the E8
3) Springfield loses to Ithaca but, wins out and beats Fisher. Springfield finishes with 2 loses in the E8
4) Springfield & Alfred beat Hartwick and Hartwick  finishes with 2 loses in the E8

Thus resulting with records in the E8 looking like this...
A) Fisher = 4-2  (beat B,C,F,G.  Lose to D,E)
B) Ithaca = 4-2 (beat C,D,F,G. Lose to A,E)
C) Alfred = 4-2 (beat D,E,F,G. Lose A,B)
D) Springfield = 4-2 (beat A,E,F,G. Lose to B,C)
E) Hartwick = 4-2 (beat A,B, F,G. Lose to C, D)
F) Norwich = 0-6 ( lose to everyone )
G) Utica = 1-5 (Beat Norwich)

One objective down 5 to go.

AUPepBand

It's all certainly a possibility...and to save on the nightmare of determining who gets the NCAA AQ, Pep thinks the E8 should send Norwich, with the cleanest record, and watch in amazement as the Cadets run the table and beat the Mounties' and Pierre "Benedict Arnold " Garcon in the Stagg Bowl.

Utica can take an ECAC bowl invite while the Fabulous Five hold their own post-season tournament to determine once and for all who wins the Empire 8.
