Down goes LSU and Cal's on the ropes too...Caz proposes Ohio State vs. Mount Union for the BCS championship...or at least the championship of Ohio.

Since tOSU's list of victims is almost as unimpressive as IC's (no offense PG04), sure, why not.

ok so next week begins in my mind a series of games for the E8...If Fisher beats Springfield...then Springfield is done... Then Springfield has the oppurtunity to play spoilers vs. Ithaca and Hartwick...though if Fisher beats springfield...Ithaca is most likely out of it...  Then Ithaca can play pool c Spoiler home vs. the fighting Freds...followed by in all likelihood the E8 championship game...  though I have a feeling that as long as Fisher wins out and does not get blown out by Alfred then Fisher will get a poll c...I think that they are ranked too high to get snubbed (yes I know that the rankings mean nothing)

The football bowl subdivision is in complete chaos!   If the season ended after this week, we'd see an Ohio State vs. BC National championship!! 

I think the first BCS standings come out this week and if it was up to me I'd put USF at #2, if not #1.  Their wins over Auburn and West Virginia are considerably better than anything the Buckeyes or BC have done.

If Fisher and Alfred win out until they meet on Nov. 10 and then SJF beats Team PepBand for the AQ, Alfred will still probably get a C bid at 9-1.  If they lose to IC before the Fisher game, then that SJF-AU game will probably be for the E8's only bid, which is a shame I guess but that's the way it goes here in D3.

I love me some WAC football with in all likelihood more personal ties to the WAC than any other member of E8Nation or LLPP Inc., but Hawai'i has no shot at the big title game...their AD did an absolutely awful job this spring of playing the contract bargaining game with the big boy schools.  As a result they got stuck playing an OOC sked of Northern Colorado, Charleston Southern, UNLV and Washington plus their league games in a down year for the WAC.  The Bows have already had a pair of extremely close shaves on the road at Louisiana Tech and San Jose State and seem at least 50/50 to lose at home to Boise State the day after Thanksgiving, which will ice them out of a BCS payday completely.

Don't hate on UNC.  Hawaii's performance yesterday against San Jose State pretty much eliminated them too; they shouldn't get in after that, undefeated or not.

I agree.  When Fisher and Alfred meet, if Fisher is 8-1 and Alfred 9-0, the game is a must for the Cardinals.  Alfred still gets in with a loss at Pool C.  Fisher gets the AQ. 

Soopa I would have to disagree with you, but I like your positive attitude on the subject.  If Fisher loses they will be out of a playoff spot.  No pool c.  Though I hope you're right.

OK, kid, see where you're kneeling?  That's called "out of bounds."  If you ever find yourself scrambling with 7 seconds left and no timeouts when you're losing, this is where you should go or throw the ball.  I'm glad we had this little chat.
