Are we sure a coach at the D3 level can be fired soley based on his on field performance (record)?  I dont think he can... if he resigned obviously thats different.

Sure a coach can be fired for on field performance.  It is college football.  Honestly, I know some people inside the program and have personal friends that played at Utica.  I've heard some things that are quite worrisome.  At Fisher, the players police themselves.  No drinking during the week, only saturday nights after games.  No drugs, go to classes, etc.  If rules are broken, the players on the unity council decide the consequences.  At Utica, its much different.  My friends, whom both started at Utica for 2 years, did whatever they wanted whenever they wanted.  Drinking everynight, even the night before games.  Never went to class, got kicked off campus, etc. 
Until some discipline is adopted by the players, it will be hard to change things.  A new coach is probably exactly what they need.

and to be honest, if you dont think a coach can be fired midseason at the college level you must be a total moron.  Like Jose said, this is America and you can fire anyone at anytime.

it's different, it's my first name and I have it spelled out in my email adress, its not like they misspelled but they just decided to change the way that I spell it....

it's different, it's my first name and I have it spelled out in my email adress, its not like they misspelled but they just decided to change the way that I spell it....

MIOH's imagination wont allow him to think that a 2 loss Cortland team will be getting in Over a 2 loss Bomber team that just finished running the table (after the Fisher loss) and Monkey Stomping them @ Butterfield.

If Cortland has 2 losses including the IC game, they go to the playoffs as a Pool A.  IC will compete for a Pool C.  The only game that matters on Cortland's schedule right now is this Saturday.  Win, and we're in. Lose, and we are probably out no matter what happens with Rowan and IC.

You know from experience how much fire you are playing with if you plan to sneak in with 2 losses...

Only game that matters Dan?  Are you already hedging on the biggest game of the year?  Playoffs or not, you'd be hard pressed to convince me that the Cortland or IC players care about any game more than the Jug.  That is just the nature of college football.

Of course we are playing with fire.  But that is all we got to play with now.  Win out, take home the Jug, and then hope to sneak in.  If we don't sneak in, at least we can drink our consolating booze from the Jug.

Hey, did you guys see the picture of the E8 MVP on the homepage?   Ewwwweeeee, that boy looks like he can sling a football.

Also, to the bomber fans, do you think that there is a possibility of IC getting a pool C bid if they run the table over AU and Wick if the 3 of them have 2 losses?  I find that hard to believe.
