You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

fan of d3

try and watch the video again...some were staying home but check out the last 3 or 4 laterals, one kid starts walking off the field right before the last later with the TD!!!! its ridiculous

FisherAlum05

fan of d3,

I noticed the Millsaps players as well.  Seems like they finally just gave up.

Also, please pray for SC to beat Hartwick.  I think they will to be honest.

Well the game this weekend between AU and Ithaca is looking to be a bigger and bigger game. IC needs to win out to have any chance at a playoff birth (I still don't think they have any chance). And, AU needs to win out to get the AQ. With two losses I think it will be tough for any E8 team to get an at large bid. So, the next two weeks are make or break time for AU.

Should be a fun couple of weekends.

I've neither lurked nor posted on this board in a loooong time, but the Erratic8 has been on my mind quite a bit, as I've mentioned often over on the Liberty League board.

These next couple of weeks should indeed be fun to watch.  From the outside looking in, here are my ponderables:

  • Hartwick looks to have the easiest path to the AQ at this point--and I'd have said the same thing a week ago;
  • Despite their sleeper status, Hartwick lost to W(TF?)NEC--the only explanations for this that I've been able to come up with involve Halliburton and alien abduction;
  • Ithaca has a brutal last two (home) games, both must-win games;
  • Al Fred has an even more brutal last two (away) games, but they have the luxury of being able to lose one without losing a shot at the AQ;
  • SJFisher has a two week layoff before the showdown with Al and Fred--I'm always nervous about bye weeks, I fear that the team can lose its edge;
  • NY Interconference mystery:  E8 surrise doormat Springfield monkey-stomps Union to open the season, then the Hobart Pumpkinheads lay a beat-down on E8 Killing Machine Al Fred--where am I?

Can anyone make sense of the Erratic8 this season?

not really. Every time I think I have what is going to happen figured out, something goes crazy. And, it is not just the empire 8 either. I think that NY overall has been a little crazy. Brockport beats Cortland, but then loses to Mo'ville...Crazy stuff like that has been going on all season. Hartwick in the hunt for the AQ in the E8? It has been fun, but a little stressful at the same time.

Contrary to rumors, Pep did not take his life after Saterday's Debacle at Da Boz. Search for another chairman, barring impeachment, can be terminated. Pep's vehicle ran out of gas before generating enough fumes to asphyxiate the Pep.
Pep is now gased up and back on the Bandwagon with sights set on ButterField.

Thanks, Tags....truth be told, Pep's internet service at home was not working for a couple of days. Probably just as well.  ;)

It has been fun, but a little stressful at the same time.

I totally disagree with this.  To me, this year has been nothing but a pleasant surprise.  I was totally against IC joining the E8 when the league was formed because it appeared as though it was going to be made up of nothing but patsies.  Who knew AU would turn it around and SJF would get going?  Who knew SC would eventually be a member?  Now, if we can steal a good PAC team to fill NU's spot we get to see a great opponent every week.  That is the way IC's schedule used to be in the Indy days and, really, it is the only way to go.

We may find out that Alfred (like Springfield) is very overatted this year........

Look away Pep...

I agree JU, I feel there is a strong possibility that Alfred finishes 7-3 with three straight losses to end the year.

the_silly_goat

so who would be good then?

boobyhasgameyo

the_silly_goat

haha, theres a possiblity anything can happen, but alfred will not lose their next two

the_silly_goat

PEP, why did alfred kick the field goal early in the 3rd?
