If a Hartwick WIN over a low grade team in awful weather without their star running back Crea is what kept them out... how is RPI at number two?  According to this logic RPI needing a lucky come from behind win over WPI should have dropped them?

I can't stand RPI but they should be number #2. If they run the table in the LL they should be #1. If you want know about Hartwick I'll tell you (I do however have them in my top ten at #10). Hartwick can and will always be questioned because they lost to WNEC which is pathetic. Then they go and beat SJF. What the heck is that? Now you ask about RPI? Well  RPI even with a weak schedule has beaten everyone so far including two or three teams that may be a bit better or a little bit worse than WNEC in Endicott and Utica. They also beat hobart whom easily beat Alfred who was the former number #1 in the east. So for right now RPI should be #2 and close to number one (although I am glad they are not).

you missed the point... i'm not questioning RPI.... Im questioning Dewcrews reasoning for ranking teams...yes Hartwicks loss to WNEC is awful

If the weather is good this weekend:

Hartwick    48
Springfield 38

AU 33
IC  27

If its raining or windy:

Hartwick    28
Springfield 35

AU 24
IC  28

I hear the sprinklers are already on at IC (never can get enough water on that field for a big game).

I'll tell you guys what... If Crea is still not playing ... this will be a tough game for Hartwick... Boltus needs Crea for the offense to put up big numbers

The results of this weekend could be mind blowing.  An IC and Wick win, most likley Hartwick (can you believe it) will be in the drivers seat for the E8 title.  If IC loses, then whoever put them in the Regional top 10 this week must be an IC grad, because they will finish a weak 4th in the E8 with no postseason this year.

The class of the league, SJU may end up being left out even if they beat AU. However, if they don't make the tourney, then there is truley a flaw in the selection process.

This maybe one of the best finishes in years for the E8.  Let's hope being very good conference doesn't hurt in the long run.

A one loss SJF HAS to make the pool C bid, and will..........

shouldnt even be a question...

And how do you know if Red sox fans are bandwagon fans?  Theve sold out every frickin game over the last 15 years.   Those are good fans.

I would think a bandwagon fan is someone who knows every player in the league but wont spend a few hundred bucks a year to go to a game for their favorite team.  So what if Sox fans only know what happens with the sox fans.  That is a real fan right there.  At least not a band wagon fan.

I think realistic is trying to think of the term "homer" instead of "bandwagoner"

This really isn't your best argument JU.  A sellout at Fenway is Apples to Oranges to any other ballpark in the country because of the limited seating.

It is?  Well how about the waiting list to get a season ticket?

Thats fine... I truly was not trying to ruffle any feathers.  There are a ton of great, long time Sox fans out there.  However there have been a ton of bandwagon fans recently and many (most) of them are very annoying.  That was all I was saying.

I will say this ... As a Red Sox fan... and i dont know why this is... I do notice way more red sox attire nowadays and that should be fine but for some reason I question there loyalty and if they have been as distraught as I have been over the sox...

A lot of them are the same ones that were wearing Yankees attire 5 years ago.

Thats another good point.  The wait is A long time now.  The whole season sells out within a few hours that tickets go on sale that first day.

Pep - I know you haven't liked the direction the board is headed, but I thought you'd appreciate this Ithacan Article especially with the big game at Butterfield this weekend.

http://theithacan.org/am/publish/accent/200710_A_different_beat.shtml

Maybe you and the Pepband could set up some pregame cadences.

Nice piece. +K Unfortunately, neither of AU Pep Band's two tubas will be in attendance at Butterfield Saterday. It's been a real delight (or should Pep say deheavy?) carrying two tubas with the band this year. Now is there any chance the IC tubas will be at ButterField? Pep will bring the tuba music along and perhaps an ICer could be featured as a guest performer with AU Pep Band!
