Yanks...read the rest of the post...I think the only way Ithaca has a shot is if Wick wins the aq....

and I will be the first one to state...when wick makes the playoffs, they will win their first round game if they area at home...I predict that Wick will be the 4 seed with whoever wins the LL asa the 5 seed or possibly the otherway around...

I will go on the record as

1.TCNJ
2. Fisher
3. Wesley
4.Wick
5. Wiedner
6. LL winner
7. Curry
8. Ithaca

this is a guess and by no means hold me to it...but if I'm even close to being right then I am the smartest person in the d3 world

3 E8 teams?  That would be tuff...

See wick fans need to stop giving fisher fans S#it as our team holds your teams fate in their hands... it's simple Fisher wins their both in fisher loses...well lets not even think about that

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Ya, I know it's a long shot but since IC put it to Alfred, and lost in a tight game to 'Wick I'm thinking it would at least have to get some consideration --- Especially if IC can monkey stomp Cortland (EDIT: which probably isn't likely)

dude fact check...Ithaca was never a top ten team...and Fisher did not come out of nowhere in 2004 as in 2003 they stayed with every team they played and monkey stomped Cortland in the ECAC's

Johnny agreed the best shot that Ithaca has is for Union to take the LL...because if UofR takes the LL then RPI would have won and therefore I think RPI gets that spot before Ithaca...but you never know...all I know is that Fisher needs to win

GO FISHER...SAXONS SUCK

and yanks I think RedSwarm was a "rocket scientist"

Not saying SJF came out of nowhere in 2004...but generally a team gets respect for getting to the big dance...not making the ECAC's.  By the way...wasn't the score like 47-37...hardly a monkey stomp.

And according to "Daddy Dew Crew", who ranks the regional teams, IC was #8 in the east last week.  By rankings, I was only referring to regional rankings...not national...for that I apologize.  I am curious to see where he will rankteams this week.  I tell you what...can anyone find any other team in the east that has beaten as many teams with a record OVER .500 as 'Wick, who has 3 (IC, SJF, and Husson)?  I beleive if SJF wins this weekend, they would have 3 (IC, Rochester, and then Alfred).  IC only has has one victory over a team with a record above .500 in Alfred.

RedSwarm is an idiot...thank god he left the forum...hopefully he doesn't come back.

Husson doesnt count.

And has there ever been a team thats lost to a NEFC team nonleague and made the playoffs?

Point is:  Who cares.  Everyone needs to get the balance bars out of their unitards and hope the NCAA gods shine on the bombers.

That WNEC loss was a long time ago.  First game of the year.  Curious...when you bring up the 'Wick loss to IC and Fisher, it becomes "that was a long time ago, and we are playing way better now."  WNEC was a horrible, horrible loss.  Never should have happened.  But I give credit...'Wick got their act together and came out and did something that no one has ever done after that...beat IC and SJF in the same year.

You tell me where I bring up the Wick loss being "a long time ago".

Im just saying that Im not going to give Hartwick the team of the year award because they won two close games at home.  2 plays either way and we wouldnt even be talking about Hartwick this year.  Im not saying they are a bad team.  But through the whole season, it appears that they arent heads and shoulders above IC and SJF.

I dont think any of us ever claimed they were?  anyways... everytime i read the word monkey stomp i laugh

As a coach, I'm tickled by the idea that a close win at home is not truly an indication of "the better team"??  Home or away, the game still counts in the standings.  Early in the season or late in the season, the game still counts in the standings.  If you're going to rank teams, the rankings better be based on this year's results.  I'm not interested in how a team did 5 or 10 years ago(or even last year for that matter).  In the words of AL DAVIS, "Just win baby!".  With that said, GO AU!

Trust me...this week...you may not ever meet a bigger SJF fan...

This subject has been beaten to death.  Michigan/App St, or sometimes you watch a game and a team makes so many mistakes that you know if they played 10 times again they would probably win 10 times........

good post

I pray Fisher and Hartwick can both make it to the playoffs and meet again like Springfield last year...Wouldn't that be grand if Fisher wins Saturday and gets like the 2 seed and gets Curry in the first round and then a Hartwick in the 2nd.  It would be interesting to see them play a second time.

JU...if you are comparing IC/Wick or SJF/Wick...it is way different.  These 3 teams are in the same league...play the same opponents...and finish with the same record.  If Wick finished 2-8...I would say it was lucky.  I just think it was their year this year...assuming they hold on against Utica.

Seconded

Is it right? Eh, maybe not, but it's fair to be able to talk about the close home wins 5-6 weeks ago when talking about each team today.

Agree - I said that a little while ago. It would be nice to see Hartwick once again to end all discussion.

there is no discussion... Hartwick is better .. they beat Fisher...
I would accept that it could be redemption for you... hows that

My God man you just don't get it, they playeddddd better that particular day but that doesn't mean they arrrrrre better.  Hartwick played a decisive first half no doubt but Fisher came back in the 2nd half.  If that dumb 4th and goal play would have went in you would have no argument, so are you saying Hartwick is better because of a 1 play difference?  Or how about our delicious kicker missing a chip shot field goal earlier?  You guys are not the better team, especially if you look at the entire collection of this season.
