Wherever you are, I will admit Losman had a good game today. If they continue to let him throw the football down field like they did today, they may have something.

Hopefully your computer is fixed... enroll at Hartwick.

Here is my honest opinion on the SJF/Wick, IC/Wick discussions.

Wick won the head-to-head contests over both teams, so Wick was obviously the better team on those particular saterdays.  Thats how football is.  Even I can admit this as a huge Fisher fan and former player.  A win is a win no matter how you slice it.

We, as Fisher and IC fans, must give Wick credit where it is due.  They won fair and square. BUT, I will say, that if Wick has to meet either team again I wouldn't call them the favorites.  And IMHO, I would bet on both SJF and IC to beat Wick if a second time does indeed come around.  I'm hoping we will see a second meeting between SJF and Wick so we can prove that we are indeed the better team when it really counts, the NCAA tournament.

By the way... I havent seen Springfield play in a few years but I remember them always being BIG ... they're team was small in stature

They do always say its harder to beat a team twice (or three times like in the nfl)

errrr....Springfield is known for having some of the smallest olinemen around.  Even their defensive line is usually not that big.  Strongest team in the country?  Maybe.  But they are always smaller than IC....

In my playing days (2001-2004), Brockport was always the biggest team by far.  Huge offensive line, defensive line, and linebackers.  Ithaca and Alfred were usually big as well.

Really?  I dont know why I thought that I guess...

Yeah Springfield is usually fairly small but fast.  They use lighter, more mobile linemen to execute chop blocks and submarine blocks.

Yea when I played (mid 1990s) Buff St had the biggest oline.  Hobarts was pretty big too.  Mansfield had the biggest line I had ever seen (besides Cornell).  Brockports was average.  Ithacas was never that big, even on the national championship teams.  Cortlands were average.  Alfred and Springfields were small.  AIC was big.  We didnt play SJF, Hartwick or Utica....

Pat,

If you're around can you let me know when the selection show is?  I know they usually have it on ESPN news or something right?  I would like to watch that.

It's funny talking about different era's of D3 football.  It always interests me.  I would have to say that Fisher now has the biggest O-Line in upstate New York.  They have some monsters up front.  Although I have not really seen the LL or NJAC teams lately.

Honestly, I'm hoping Ithaca and Fisher both make the NCAA tournament.  I would like to see Fisher and IC square off again this season.  I think it would be alot closer the second time around.  Plus, the week leading up to a Fisher-IC game is great on these boards.  Fun talking smack and debating football.
