SJFF82,

I really believe the Saxons have come off two subpar games.  I know one key player is playing through the year with an injury that affects his performance.  The Saxons are going to come out fired up big time.  I don't like to make score predictions, but as long as there are no unexpected plays (kickoff returns, etc.), I think it will be a great game.  Too bad Julio can't suit up.

Best Wishes, Saxon 73
I have no reason to believe that this game will not go down to the wire.  I said earlier that this SJF team reminds me alot of the '05 team that had solid talent and alot of wins, but lacked an edge.  AU, although they have had 2 bad losses, has not had their backs up against the proverbial wall yet this season...and they are still in the E8 driver's seat.  I am one SJF poster who is very anxious about the game this week.  It is hard to imagine AU losing 3 straight with their talent...we shall see!  This week's game is more mental than most...AU must be feeling alot of mental pressure having had such high expectations deflated so quickly by Bart and IC, and likewise, SJF has to get over the mental hump of being off for a week, and perhaps being a bit overconfident because they have had 2 weeks to prepare for a home game against a team that has lost 2 straight...

AU does not have the D to shut down SJF's Offense like they did in 05....

SJF easily puts up 35 while Stepnick and Miranto shut down Keeley and co on offense....

Like I said, I am completely confident that we beat the Saxons by at least 2.5 TD's ;)

SJFF82,i
got out of work early today and the brewsky is taking effect.  I think AU's plethora of receivers were underutilized.  Also v IC I would have blitzed more.  But, what do I know?

guys, be careful.  I really hope we win.  And I think we will.  But AU will be fired up since they still control their own destiny.  If we play hard, we should win.

I hear what your saying SJFF82.  But this team is actually quite different than the '05 team.  The '05 team had alot of talent, but was lacking in a couple areas.  We had Noah Fehrenbach, our only legitimate threat down the field.  No other "great" WR's.  Also, we were lacking a QB with poise.  This years team is more well rounded, with a great QB and several good WR's including Smith, Marion, and Jackson.  Also a great TE in Harmon, who can block and catch.  Plus, this years offensive line is massive and very good.

Plus, like someone said, the AU defense was much better in '05.  They had a MANCHILD named Brady, and we all remember him.  He could change a football game on his own.  Which he did in the finale at Growney.  I don't think the AU defense has anybody nearly as good and they will probably struggle to stop the Fisher offense.

I dont post for a couple of hours and all the AU posters have "gone into hiding"?  I think not.  Although the AU team of 05 was very different especially with Brady, there was one major constant that is still there.  Keeley was great that game and now he's two years more mature and much improved.
Furthermore, think about this.  If you were Keeley, and you transferred from a school that you strongly disliked (Fisher) to a school where you have had a meteoric rise and become loved throughout the saxon supporters, wouldnt you relish this opportunity.  He can beat his former team (again) on their field (again) in front of family and friends (he's from cal-mum), and give the school that he transferred to their first NCAA birth ever.  And oh ya, wrap up that MVP projection that I've been talking about the whole year.

Wick fans still have to love the season that they have had!
to even be in the mix was way more than they ever would have imagined!

I've said it before, based on where we have been we would be very happy with an ECAC bowl. That doesn't mean we are giving up on the NCAA's

what?  thats awful
