I think the SJF DT's have done an outstanding job in plugging up the middle this season.  Becton (6-6 360) and Schenk (6-1 260) are a real force in the middle as they are allowing only 96 yds rushing a game, 2.6 yards per carry and have only allowed 5 rushing TDs all season.

No question they're tough to run on. I'm worried a little about pass rush though - you're not going to run the ball on our front too much. Pollock & Boone need to play a big role there.

This seems like an appropriate week for the Orlando Sentinel to run this story about fans on college sports message boards:

This also raises the perfect question...why are we not "poking" oppossing QBs on Facebook?  FDC, get on that.

I really don't think it's going to be an offensive showdown. I'd be willing to bet scores are pretty difficult to come by this game.

Keeley (sp?) is facing probably the best Secondary he's faced - I'd take Stepnick in man to man vs. any WR Alfred can throw at him... freeing up some help for Miranto, who is a very solid corner but happens to play opposite of #19. On the flip side, Fisher's offense isn't as high powered as many folks want to believe.

I just don't see it being a ridiculously high scoring affair.

I see your point, but i think the thing that makes keeley so good is that he hits all his wrs.  You cant focus on 1 or 2 guys.  The question is, can your lbs stay with those slot wrs and the rbs, especially in space?

Sarge,
I agree that Keeley is good enough to pick apart any defense and the wideouts are fast enough to get open, but the real question is whether they can hold onto the ball.  Dropped passes and fumbles have killed the Saxons these past two games.  I thought it would be the penalties that caught up to Alfred, but aside from those 3 or 4 stupid games where they racked up 150 to 180 penalty yards the Saxons have been much more disciplined.  If the receivers can make the catches and not try to do too much, this will be a close game otherwise it will become a blowout.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

AU guys - it is fine to have confidence in your QB- but if he tries to challenge Steve or Scott, you may have a problem on your hands ---in the name of  a big INT.

this is what happens when you throw on Stepnick
