Wow..I cannot believe what I am reading!!!! MU puts thier pants on just like we do. Are they good? Hell yes.. Can the E8 compete with them? Hell yes!!!! If Ithaca, Fisher, or Hobart Plays the way I know these teams can play we can beat MU. This defeatist attitude will not make you a champion. If you already lost in your head you lost on the field.

Difference between winners and losers. Winners will not be beaten!

This concludes my sunday sermon.. ;D

T-minus 20 seconds before MUC fans flood the E8 Nation to say "hey good luck, but honestly, you know you'll never win"

Plus, now we'll have to deal w/ these clowns:

Those are the homos that make the youtube videos.

Jeez guys, honestly can we lay off the slurs on here? I don't come on here to bristle at anything but Fisher fans...

+ karma for your comment maxpower--it's too bad that some idiots have to lower themselves to using slurs instead of presenting decent arguments.
nice to see you again theaprof.... I won't give them mean slurs....but they are the ones who called fisher homo's with their video... I just think they are schmuks and do a diserivce to the great Raider fans I met last year

superman57--They may indeed be schmucks--I won't disagree there.  I just hate it when some individuals feel it necessary to lower themselves to slurs--including the purple clowns that posted the video last year.
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

OK these guys are jerks.  Better?  Wasn't meant to be a slur anyway.

It verbage that me and my friends have used for years.  Has nothing to do with lifestyle choices.  Might un-PC... but I can't stand PC.

The more I think about it the more I like Ithaca getting to take on the Mountain in the first round, Ithaca appears to be rolling and the fans have been saying they are a different team than what they were earlier in the year so this will go a great barometer as to how beatable or unbeatable Mount Union is, because if Mount Union were to play Curry or Hartwick first round it wouldn't tell us much lol.

I have absolutely no reservations about rooting for Ithaca this week, I want to see them make a statement.

Rooting for the Bombers this weekend will be my first priority.

maybe an over the top offense is what someone needs to beat MUC

SJFF82

Well there is 9 pages of 'talk' since the big selection show.  I am going to post my opinion of the brackets and then go back and read everyone else's, so forgive me in advance if I repeat anyone's take or beat a horse that is already dead...

My first reaction was holy crap about Ithaca having to go out  to MUC's bracket...then I realized that the NCAA's had put MUC in 'our' bracket....WOW.

48 hours ago, IC was not even in, now they get a crack at their own little National Championship game in 6 days...WOW again!

So either the East was not good enough to get a number 1 seed, or the committee said enough is enough with MUC steam rolling its region every year and decided to send them to the toughest region top to bottom.  Either way, I think it is awesome for Ithaca to get this shot and it can only help the rest of the East get a good glimpse at what is to come in Rd's 2, 3 and 4.

If IC gives MUC any sort of game....and I believe they will, SJF and co. will have immediate confidence.  MUC, at a minimum, is going to have a mental and physical challenge every rd, that they don't get every week.  If the brackets stay true, MUC will have to go through IC, RPI and SJF...not exactly the substantially overrated OAC is it MUC? ?  ? ?

SJF got boned a bit by being 'rewarded' with a 2 seed, but yet having to play 'Bart.  Meanwhile, 'Wick, all the way down at 7, actually got a better draw with East play-off doormat Curry right?  I guess the committee gave SJF a bone with the home game, but 'Wick a bone (for having beat SJF) by playing the weaker first rd. opponent.

All-in-all....I am pumped about our region....I think the committee made a statement that the East is a force and that MUC should go 'out there' (although they will be at home) and compete with some new blood...and some top quality!

I hope that 'we' the East (E8 and LL) rally the troops and one of us takes down the mighty MUC!  I really will be pulling for IC and RPI (when you beat TCNJ), not only for SJF's sake, but because it would be awesome for our conferences and the East overall to make a statement to MUC and the rest of the D3 nation.

GO ITHACA!!!!!   GO SJF!!!!

GO EAST!!!

good post... Curry at 11 and 0 really throws a wrench into the equation there is no doubt about it... they have to rank them somewhat high right?

Yeah I didn't mean that as a knock against Hartwick, but Mount Union's offense is pretty unstoppable...I would hate to see Hartwick's D have to face that, I don't think the outcome would be pretty.  But it would be interesting to see how Mount Union's D faired against Hartwick's unconventional offense.

If we're being honest, they didn't want to put Whitewater & MUC in the same region. They want that game for later.[/quote]

That's not really true. Mount has always been in the North region and Whitewater has been in the West and if they left things alone, they still could have met in the Stagg Bowl. I actually think the NCAA would not want the same teams 3 years in row in the Stagg. As a Mount fan I am excited to see new teams from the East. I've read about many of the programs in the East but have not seen many play in person. I was impressed by the perfomance of SJF last year.

Safe travels to all Bomber fans heading to Alliance!
