This post is for the Ithaca student radio station that follows the football team.  I am the pbp guy for the commercial station that does Purple Raider football.  First off let me say I listened to your show tonight over the net and I thought the three of you did a very fine job!  Also, it was a very nice effort in getting the guests you had on.  Anyone can fill an hour but making an effort to get experts shows the job you do.

I agree.  Great job on the broadcast last night!

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Thanks for the info MUC guys.  I am feverishly attempting to make travel arrangements.  Other FDCers on the trip would sure cut costs...

Where is kirasdad?  He is a Tampa area guy.

And which MUC poster did I run into in UNO Pizzeria in Chicago last December (Day of the Stagg Bowl)?  I told you guys you didn't want a piece of the Bombers.

E8Nation is everywhere.

MUC   -6

haha super.  you should post that on the OAC board.  if you really want to reach an incredibly low karma level ;)

don't tempt me
but I do like most of the MUC fans...it's only the schmuks in the purple suits that I don't like

As a Mount fan--I agree that they are obnoxious--as are a few of the fans that have season tickets in the East stands.

If anybody needs directions or recommendations for places to stay, IM me here and I will try to help.  If you are driving, you might want to stop in the greater Youngstown area overnight and then drive the 45 minutes or so to Alliance in the morning--rather than driving 30 minutes past Alliance to Canton and then driving back in the morning.
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Between the Jug (via text updates), a wedding, and Visor Bowl III on Saterday, I was unable to read all of the posts in E8Nation.  I vaguely remember, through the haze of my hangover, reading a MUC poster saying they weren't sure how good their team was this year.  I would add the same thing about the Bombers.

With the obvious caveat that MUC does everything well, anyone got a quick breakdown of the strengths/weaknesses after 10 games?

EDIT: Big ups to the new guru, JU, who accurately predicted the Bombers in the dance.  I had my doubts but used your predictions to sleep easy.

yeah, let's not get crazy here...

Pat, great job as always on the show today.  I know I (we) are biased, but I thought what you offered compared to the guy that did D-II was above and beyond.

honestly Pat, couldn't you kind of kick him under the table each time he went over his allowed amount of
"Ya, they've got some tough sledding"

Pat... any talk of expanding that segment?  I mean couldnt they make it an hour get a little more in depth... i'm sure you've heard this 100 times... but did espnU really have to rush off to a womens soccer game?  I bet there would be much more people watching the selection show.

Seemed like a production issue. There's not a lot of staff and putting together an hour-long show takes twice as much work.

Indeed a classic sig..I for one was very suprised to see the outcome of that game so one sided---many took note that IC must have been taking out frustrations on Cstate!

Although everyone has the upcoming games on their mind, I am sure others in the E8 have buddies overseas  right now (I have several), so on this Veterans Day, I urge everyone to take some time to give thanks
and prayers of remeberance to all of veterans, past and present.

Very true and obviously more important than our banter......

God Bless & thanks to all who have represented the good ol' U, S of A!!!

After watching Ithaca absolutely own Cortland, I have no doubt that they will take care of Mt. Union.  I predict a 21-7 victory by Ithaca.

This is a joke, right? Mount is averaging 54.2 points per game, and giving up 2.4.  The first team defense has yet to give up a touchdown, but Ithaca is going to score 21.  The offense has yet to be held under 35 points, but Ithaca is going to hold them to 7.  The defense has scored more points (34) than they've given up (24), but you're right, Ithaca is going to dominate them.

How, exactly, is Ithaca, who has lost two games, and whose defense has allowed 17 ppg to teams not named Mount Union, going to stop Mount Union?

Have you been following Division III football for the last...oh, 14 years?

relax dude.  He's fired up over a huge rivalry win and a chance to do something in the playoffs.  Everyone know MUC, chill out and let us enjoy a week in which we get to play the best that's ever been.

You can be fired up...I just ask that you be "realistic."

Hope you can work out the arrangements, JoseQ...

Bombers need not be intimidated.

When Lil Alf was at a big school that suited up 100 players when AU had but 45, a Saxon was dumbfounded and appeared a little intimidated by the numbers. Coach Alex Yunevich (yes, the legendary, Pat!) assured him, "It's okay. I understand they can only put 11 guys on the field at a time, same as us."

Go Bombers!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Dubbz will not be making the trip this saterday.  Unfortunetaly it is his companies  annual benefit that he is mandated to going to.  I was on the phone with Rowdy discussing travel plans and figuring out our route through mapquest when i then opened my calendar and saw saterday completely blocked off.  I swear my neighbors within a 4 mile radius heard me yelling NOOOOOOOO!!!!  lady dubbz came bolting down the stairs to find i was only dissapointed i couldnt make the trip to ohio.... she proceeded to slap dubbz and head back upstairs.
