Well that wouldn't be too shocking Tartan, they have been winning by an average margin of what 50 points?  If teams from here were losing by 3 scores that is almost a puric victory and wouldn't it kind of prove that the East teams are competing at a higher level than what Mount Union has faced this year?  I think the main thing you guys are missing is those saying the OAC isn't hands down the best is speaking in terms of this year only not what they have done in the past, nobody is questioning what they have done in the past....They are trying to explain reasons as to why Mount Union has only given up 24 points the entire year and averaging over 50 on offense.

I would love to see IC score 24 or more on MUC... they've only given up 24 all year to this point.

Doubt they'll score much - it's difficult to understand how good that defense is until you see them in person.

I think IC has the weapons to do so, Donovan can pound with the best of them.  IC's O line is going to have their hands full all day but they need to come out and start strong to get Donovan rolling.  Also, IC needs to get their TE and FB involved to move the chains, they're not going to be able to use their speedy WR's downfield all that often.

In my opinion Robby had one of his best days since I've been following him and he only had 110 yards vs. that defense. Donovan will be lucky to get 50 IMHO.

As far as the passing game, quick drops and get rid of the ball... otherwise Juvan is going to be trying to throw from his back all day.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about IC taking it to these guys, but we need to be a little bit honest here as well.

Yes, I refer to the OAC as the Purple Patsies Conference.  PPC for short.  My exact quote (which will not be repeated word for word at the risk of insulting P. Coleman again) had to do something with the rest of the participants in your alleged conference essentially allowing MUC to have their way with you without putting up much resistance.

Admitted by someone from Capital on the Dose, that every team in the PPC concedes 1 loss a year before the season even starts to MUC. . . .  That is not how the East rolls.  Every team in the E8/LL shows up to win - week in and week out.  That is what I am hoping for and counting on for this year's playoffs.  How exactly will MUC respond when it faces a team like IC, RPI, Hobart, or SJF that is willing to actually hit back??

Until proven otherwise (Capital vs. UWW, and MUC vs. the East), the OAC is the PPC and either has no heart, or not competition in it other than MUC.

If I'm wrong, I will admit it - but we won't know for sure for a few more weeks.

Could care less.  This is the playoffs, its an entirely different season.  Everyone starts out with the same record.  I could care less if they pissed gold and crapped silver during the regular season.  Playoffs baby!

Yeah. Trends established over 10 games are totally meaningless.  :-\

Well here we are folks my 900th post.  What a journey it has been these past few years...Friendships and rivalries forged out of the blood sweat and tears poured onto this keyboard of mine....This message board which I call my internet home will always be my secret love as I will admit to nobody that knows me in the real world that I post on this.  Without this glorious posting section I would have saw the Pep Band from Alfred every time they played Fisher and thought nothing of it...But bet your bottom dollar when they were playing this past weekend I smiled from afar thinking hey....I may know a person or two in that section.  If not for this amazing brain child of Pat Coleman I would have thought men wearing oversized hats are tools but oh no my friend they are dedicated fans.  Thanks for the memories everybody  <accepts award with tears filling eyes>  It has been fun.

Booby is dead on here.  I'm glad people like Pat Coleman, and the rest of the staff, had the smarts and desire to start something like this up.  It's a great way for us d3 fans, and former players, to stay in touch with the game and our past accomplishments.

That is big key against MUC.  You must protect the QB because they'll come from all angles and positions.  If you have enough balance to keep the defense guessing, then you're in business.  If they can make you one dimensional, you're dead meat.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Pat,

I think I can speak for many on this board that hope MUC doesn't run through all their games winning 50 or 60-0.
