Quote from SJF Fan:

"How exactly will MUC respond when it faces a team like IC, RPI, Hobart, or SJF that is willing to actually hit back??"

SJF Fan, they will probably respond the same way they did in the five playoff games last year.  And the year before that.  By winning.

Quote from SJF Fan:

"Until proven otherwise (Capital vs. UWW, and MUC vs. the East), the OAC is the PPC and either has no heart, or not competition in it other than MUC."

They didn't prove it to you enough last year, when Mount won by double digits in every playoff game EXCEPT against OAC runner-up Capital?  Or when Capital smashed their first two opponents before losing to Mount?  How about in 2005, when the OAC's Ohio Northern gave Mount their only loss?  Or in 2002, when OAC runner-up John Carroll won the East bracket?  That wasn't enough to prove to you that the OAC has some heart and competition?

You also said, on the Dose, that "when a team does not lose in its conference for many years..."

Actually, an OAC team was the last one to beat Mount - Ohio Northern did it waaaay back in 2005.  All of two years ago.  The last non-OAC team to beat them was UMHB in 2004.

I really don't mean to make this a personal argument.  But please, look at the facts - the OAC consistently competes with Mount Union just as well as everyone else, and without MUC in the conference it is still probably in the top three conferences in the nation.  If their 12-1 playoff record since 1999 against opponents other than Mount (including 3-0 against the East Region) isn't enough to convince you of that, I don't think that you will be convinced.
I was small but made up for it by being slow...

Raider-

I already addressed this over on your board. Disregard those types of comments ... he just emerged and has no credibility making those types of statements that he made over there.

He does not speak for Fisher fans, or anyone in the E8 Nation.

Sorry to call you out Runyr, but the first team D has given up 3 points this season ;D
Thanks, hscoach.  I stand corrected.  I was thinking TD's and said points.   :-*

Nice article in the Alliance Review regarding LK and D3. Interesting fact about funding for D3 sports from March Madness.

Tartan Player -

Yes, I refer to the OAC as the Purple Patsies Conference.  PPC for short.  My exact quote (which will not be repeated word for word at the risk of insulting P. Coleman again) had to do something with the rest of the participants in your alleged conference essentially allowing MUC to have their way with you without putting up much resistance.

Admitted by someone from Capital on the Dose, that every team in the PPC concedes 1 loss a year before the season even starts to MUC. . . .  That is not how the East rolls.  Every team in the E8/LL shows up to win - week in and week out.  That is what I am hoping for and counting on for this year's playoffs.  How exactly will MUC respond when it faces a team like IC, RPI, Hobart, or SJF that is willing to actually hit back??

Until proven otherwise (Capital vs. UWW, and MUC vs. the East), the OAC is the PPC and either has no heart, or not competition in it other than MUC.

If I'm wrong, I will admit it - but we won't know for sure for a few more weeks.

Buddy... I hope you're breakin balls.

In other NY news, how about Flynn for Syracuse tonight? He was lighting it up with Harris (both Niagara Falls products).  Flynn had 28pts 9 assts while Harris had 14pts and 15 boards (i think), these two cut down their turnovers and Syracuse could be inline for a very nice season.  They have the makings of a nice team over the next few years with Greene (fr), Flynn, Harris and Rautins when he comes back next year with 2 years remaining.

I love it ... but it was against Siena...

IMO, the key to the game for the Bombers is their defense. MUC's "D" won't give up many points. The Bombers "D" must hold the Raiders to 20 points or less to prevail. The weather may assist both teams in keeping the score down. Just don't see a shootout here.
