Props to Ithaca on a tough battle.  The QB is the real deal for them.  Their defense did a nice job tackling for the most part.  It looked like they just didn't match up to the overall team speed of Mount.  The officiating certainly DID help Ithaca. I mean COME ON...penalties were something like 15 yards for Ithaca.....150 for Mount!  It was a joke.Ithaca had absolutely NO running game.  I read where you guys were saying they should have pounded the ball when they were down near the goal line but to be honest they couldn't move anyone on Mount's line.  They had to try something else, they just didn't execute that well.

This was a great test for Mount.  We haven't had one all year, so this game lets Mount know where they need to improve.  Their pass defense was VERY suspect.  If #8 for Ithaca hadn't dropped a few, the game might have been even closer.

Nice season Ithaca.

OK......who's NEXT?????   ;D

Excuses, excuses...

Just because the East wont lay down and die, like everyone else, just doesnt sit well with you guys does it?

easy upstate --- they're being alright about it.

I'd say the same about the Fisher game today, ref's were horrid --- let them vent

ill say it again for the bombers, great season after starting 2-2...

im pretty excited for Juvan next year, can't wait to see how he does in his third year...

only issue i have is the amount of senior leadership we're losing...
terlecki (FS), stevens (CB), nowak (MLB), byers (DT)...
hogan (WR), hennahan (WR), baez (RB), donovan (RB)...
just a few guys off the top of my head who're seniors
All hail the Booga

Hey Upstate.........excuses?  Quit being an EDB!

I was commenting on how bad they were, but it certainly wasn't any attempt at an excuse.  I gave Ithaca props.  They played hard, and gave Mount their toughest test of the year.

I think its a good thing to hear that the Refs were actually calling penalties against MUC - clearly absent in prior playoff games.

Now onto other matters - when I was on the Dose earlier this week and offered the thought that maybe the OAC was having an off year and that the East would be tougher competition than MUC was used to facing this year, everyone, including the two know it all guys that are supposed to be impartial and that botched this years NCAA bracket projections, went beyond criticizing the mere mention of such a posture.

Well, MUC did not get an OAC like win (51-1 avg. score for conference game) in its first week in the East did they? IC scored in one game more points than the OAC did all year.   Further, based on the UWW score, it is looking like my initial thoughts are not seeming so outrageous.

Since Curry's website doesnt even have who they are playing listed on their schedule, im going to bet its going to be a while before they get a box score/recap up.....

Seriously, get a job at the UN.

You never take a stand, and sympathize with those that put down the East.

#8 Widener almost pulled off an upset losing 21-20 on a last second score....

#8 IC loses by 24 to MUC, although IC should of had 2 more scores if not for missed chances...

#8 N.C. Weslyan knocks off #1 Wash & Jeff 35-34 in 2 OT's...

Good showing by them!

Upstate dont get so bitter... Curry did what a third seeded playoff team needed to do against a weaker 6 seeded team... they crushed Hartwick and the game was never close... next week will be a good test and we will see how good Curry is against SJF
