Play of the Day for the Cardinals....

This was the result of the fake punt by Hobart...

JQV

thanks for the props from the MUC guys.  I am pretty happy with the showing we made.  We catch a few more passes and make one or two more plays, then we force MUC to make a few plays to hold on to the win.  The way their offense got going late, I have no doubt they would have made the plays.  They just wore our defense down.

Glad to hear the Bomber faithful made a good showing.  Sorry I couldn't have been there.

Go Blue.

skunks, see you at Uno around Stagg time...

That fake punt was the worst coaching call I've ever seen in a big game.  Why fake a punt, on your own 5 yard line, down only 3-0?  I just dont get it?  That really was the turning point in the game.  My predictions for next week:

Fisher    35
Curry     17

MUC     42
TCNJ     14

The Liberty League had a rough day...Ouch!

Worst call PERIOD, not in just a big game.  Why would you put your D in that situation?

Add at least 10pts to the MUC score and take away at least 7 from TCNJ....

They have ZERO offense, their D will only stay competitive for so long...

Curry was averaging over 100 ypg in penalties and this is an area of concern in the big dance.. free yards and first downs are no way to live.

I am wondering what, if anything, do any of you know about Curry.  They're 11-0, and while they were playing a lower seed, they did win in convincing fashion.

On the fake punt - does anyone know for sure if that was a play called by the coach or was a call at the line or what??

I'm sure the fake punt was called by the Coach.  I doubt a player would audible into a fake punt on their own 5 yard line, trailing only 3-0.  Coach Cragg is known for some wild play calls, and this one was a HUGE mistake.

As for Curry, nobody knows too much about them I don't think.  I'd like to know more myself.

From what I saw of them on the d3cast earlier this year, we should be able to dominate the LOS on both sides of that ball - making for a much easier day than we had today.

Could be wrong of course, haven't looked over their roster.

I also watched the D3 Cast of Curry.  They looked good.  But I agree, we should control the LOS, which is usually where games are won and lost.

Maybe when the Hartwick guys get back, they can fill us in on Curry.  They would know the best.

They've got some good sized boys up front.  However it wont matter if SJF's line played the way they did today.

You're right.  The Fisher defensive line has been dominating lately.  Which should force Curry to put the ball in the air.  That might not be good, cause we have the best secondary in the East in my opinion.

I'd agree with that, Miranto and Stepnick are the best pair of CBs in the East and its hard to throw on them.  Norton makes a nice compliment at FS, he'll knock your head off if the QB is off.

Schenk (SR), Becton (JR), Boon (JR), Pollock (JR) and Wood (Soph) have been great all year and with 4 of the 5 guys that see time coming back it only bodes well for them.

There's no question our corners are the best in the East - hands down.

Real quick:  Congrats SJF...AND to my wife who delivered our twin girls earlier today! Chloe and Alison

Do not know much about IC game...but looks like you guys scored more pts in one game than the entire OAC did against MUC on the season.

Just came home to get clothes, download and email pics and look at the scores (the wife only authorizing the 1st two)  .

Thanks to 'SJF Fan' for texting me updates all day  +k

Cannot wait to get caught up later this week.
