Dont be upset the bombers got eliminated first round fellas.

I think considering IC's chances of making the playoffs, and then their chances against MUC, you won't find an IC fan on here that ain't pretty happy with how things went.

What's with all the new SJF posters annoying the hell out of me? That used to be superman's job. FA91, chair of fisher posters, lay down the law a little bit.

I've heard that the SJF Offense is a little down from last season but that the defense is improved so your team is about on balance as last year's squad but the playoff experience is invaluable.  How's your special teams this season?

If Stepnick is indeed healthy enough to play he could be dangerous, It's a wait and see if he's anywhere near full speed if he is, he's a game breaker

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Jose-- how about---I dont think Fisher is going to win unless they score some points?

In fact, the key to a Fisher victory will be having scored more points during the game than MUC.

Now that's Dan Fouts. :)

Well I hope both teams can be as close to full strength as possible for this Saturday.

No one responded on my special teams post...how well does SJF perform in this area?   Field position is always important (ask Mr. Hester)...so returns and return coverage could be key.

SJF has one of the best special teams units in the country.  Definately the best in the E8 in my opinion.

1) They have a great punt team, that frequently pins teams near their own endzone.
2)Their punt return team is also very good, with return man Marion often making big plays.
3) Kickoff team has been very solid all year, they are disciplined and stay in their lanes very well.
4) Kickoff return is also good, especially when Stepnick gets the ball in his hands.  Like someone said, he is a play maker.
5) FG unit has been good of late as well, Pierri has been making all the short ones under 30 yards, and has made a couple longer ones in the 40 yard range.

Thank you!

I for one will be greatly disappointed if SJF is not the best team yet we have faced all year. If last year is any indication this one will be worth taping and watching the second time.

No we wont be at full stregnth, but thats OK, we have well trained backups who saw lots of minutes this season.

No it wont be a sell out either. Trust me. There will be more than last week though, as school is back in session.

For those who like a lively crowd....sit on the pressbox side. The sedated sit on the covered side.

The upside for this game is that each team gets a preview of their opener next year. The downside is that SJF will see kids playing this year for MUC that will graduate and not be able to use this game to evaluate the oppositions players for next season. Next years starters will be substantually different personelwise.

Good luck Saturday and enjoy your visit to Alliance.

1) They have a great punt team, that frequently pins teams near their own endzone. Opponents have 7 punt returns for 16 yards, SJF averages 38.7 yds with 12 FC's and has 24 inside the 20
2)Their punt return team is also very good, with return man Marion often making big plays.  32ret 493yds  15.4 ave
3) Kickoff team has been very solid all year, they are disciplined and stay in their lanes very well.  79ret 1433yds  18.1ave
4) Kickoff return is also good, especially when Stepnick gets the ball in his hands.  Like someone said, he is a play maker. #19-25.4 ave, Team-24.4 ave
5) FG unit has been good of late as well, Pierri has been making all the short ones under 30 yards, and has made a couple longer ones in the 40 yard range.  They started out rough but Pierri has come on of late

The special teams, this season, has been a huge factor to the teams success.  They have set up the Offense with short fields all year, the Specs and Defense have carried this team all year.
