I just got back from the game......1st off congrats to SFJ on a great season. Don't let a game like this tarnish what has been accomplished. One game is not reflective of your season. Your program has made great strides and will continue to climb towards to top of D3.

This is developing into a rivalry and MUC takes a serious graduation hit next year. It will be interesting to see this rivalry grow.

On the game, SJF just got beat in the trenches. Kmic has some huge holes and the Mount offensive line had a great game. SJF moved the ball effectively but really stumbled in the red zone. The running game was non -existent and it’s tough to win being one dimensional. The game did get a little ugly when Jackson went “Chad Johnson" down by 45pts.

It was great to be part of the east region and to meet some of the Bomber and Cardinal fans. There is nothing like D3 football and its loyal fan base.

Best wishes to all Cardinal fans. Hope to meet up with you again in September!

Good analysis shark.
Jackson in no way emulates Fisher football as Mark Robinson said over and over in the booth today.
You guys just are the best in the nation.
Hands down.
I dont have to wish you luck as you dont need it and im sure that first game of the season is already on the minds of the underclassmen on the bus ride back!

First, let me start out by congratulating the Cards on a great season, even with the way this game ended.  You're not the first or the last team to take a beating at Mount Union Stadium.

My thoughts from the game:  I read earlier that the broadcasters were complaining about Mount fans getting up in arms about the referees up 31-0.  The play in question was terrible.  There should've been offsetting holding calls.  A Fisher lineman tackled one of the Mount defensemen to prevent him from sacking the QB.  I'm still trying to figure out how the referee missed it.  Just because they're up 31 doesn't mean the fans shouldn't get fired up when a call like that isn't made.

What was up with Fisher's playcalling?  3rd and seven in four down territory and you take two shots at the endzone?  Why not just pick up the first down, then try to score.  4th and a foot and you run a hand-off instead of just having the QB lean forward?  It would've been practically impossible not to pick up the first down that way.  And the field goal?  I understand that nobody wants to get shut out, but when you're down that much, how does a FG help at all?

And finally, the drum.  Congratulations, Mr. Jackson.  If you think LK and the Mount players are going to forget about that, you've got another thing coming.  Don't be surprised if the starters get left in just a little longer the next two times you square off.  Your action made the entire team look bad, and you made Garcon's excessive celebration look tame.  You're down by 40 points, what are you doing that crap for?

But hey, at least you guys have the title for this year's DVD highlight film:  "Bang the Drum Slowly:  The 2007 Fisher Cardinals"

Congrats again to Fisher and its fans on a terrific season.

I dont think MUC is going to care about some senior that did something when the 2nd team was in............

I know Jackson's antics are not reflective of your program or fans. Looks like the coaching staff dealt with it immediately. If you've seen our board we've had our own issues with a small group fans and MUC has had some stupid personal fouls as well.

Best wishes

Forgot to say good luck the next two years to SJF. Somebody has to beat them again some time and you'll have the chance.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.  LK has a very long memory.  Ask Tony DeCarlo.

Im going to assume that LK isnt thinking that the SJF coaching staff or program cam up with that one.

And whos Tony decarlo?

everyone should stop hating on corey jackson

this is a kid who caught 50+ balls a season ago and made big play after big play... this season he hasnt gotten the ball thrown his way nearly enough, and he has been understandably frustrated. He catches nearly everything thrown his way, and when he isn't getting the ball, he blocks his ass off. Anyone that knows Corey, knows that he is a competetor who got caught up in a frustrating game. Today he showed what he is capable of doing when he gets the ball thrown his way- I dont see anyone talking about that.

Dood, check yourself....down by 6 TD and the kid pulls off that BS move??  If not for it being his last game as a senior, he should be suspended.

"SJF moved the ball effectively but really stumbled in the red zone."

Shark...have to disagree on "stumbled in the red zone." They got out played by Mount's defense in the red zone.

See you guys next September and don't forget...LK and crew don't.

Good night and good luck!

The reason no one is talking about it is because SJF lost by 42, dood!
