How many months years would we have to read the posts about something like that if KC Keeler had done it and not LK's son?

The Garcon and VK stuff is gonna be filed away for future use that's for sure.  All the ish I've taken...  its was kinda interesting to see the wheels come off on Saturday.

Its heat of the battle type stuff, but Rowan's never been forgiven for heat of the battle stuff.

Face it no team is perfect or behaves perfectly 100% of the time, 'bout time a little bloom came off the rose in Ohio.  And I have no doubt MUC is the favorite for #10 in 2008, but the only true gentlemen that the Profs have ever played was Pacific Lutheran.  They were so nice while kicking Rowan's azz it made me want to puke.

JT - one of my favorite parts of The Sweet Season is the account of SJU v PLU.  It's amazing that Frosty was able to have teams that carried themselves that way.

Who lays a monster hit on you, then picks you up, asks if you are OK, then says ATTAWAY and your name?

Its is very admirable and disturbing at the same time. JT's football brain isn't wired that way.

Pep remembers reading about that Pac Luth team...a hard-hitting team of Christian gentlemen. That's the kind of game Pep enjoys in the side yard. Hard-hitting but respectful of one another.

Back to the office and I just caught up on the E8PP action from the weekend.  Boy, does the East Region suck or what?

Great game on Saterday, but Mt. Union has got to be kicking themselves that they didn't give Pep an all-expenses paid trip to Salem to watch the game.  I called Pep at the half to find out if he was watching the game only to find out that he was at the mall with the Pepettes.  He guessed the score was 21-6 MUC at the half and told him it was only 10-0... Whitewater!  He then grumbled about Mount losing only because he wasn't watching.  I called him again after the fumble recovery made it 17-0 and he immediately went to Dick's and had a TV turned to ESPN where he watched the Purple Raiders score two TDs in about 20 minutes of real time.  After that, Pep left Dick's, finished shopping and drove back to Mayberry.  

So, for the record, Mt. Union beat UWW 14-0 in the 7 minutes of game time that Pep watched and Whitewater dominated MUC 31-7 in the 53 minutes that Pep missed.

Pep, wanting to see a new D3 champ in 2007, had to show tremendous discipline in pulling himself away from the boob tube. As Kaz00 so aptly stated, the Raiders prevailed 14-0 while Pep was watching. When Pep went about his shopping and ignored the game (excepting cell phone updates from Kaz00), Whitewater rolled.

Therefore, if MU has anyone to blame, it would be Pep. Jaypeter should have paid Pep's way to the Stagg Bowl and stayed home.

JT's down with the respect thing, but he hated his opponent for 60 minutes (48 in HS).  No cheap shots, but JT wanted to leave cleat marks on his opponent.

Congratulations to AU soph TB Vinson Hendrix and AU senior DT Don Miller being named to the D3Football.com All-East Region First Team!

Hendrix was the only sophomore (among all juniors and seniors) named to the First Team.

Pep is attempting to recruit an electric guitar for the band so it can add Jimi Hendrix' "Purple Haze" to its gametime repertoire.
