Tags would like to wish everyone in the E8 Nation a Merry Christmas - Probably won't be on for a bit.

Safe travels to all.

Any chance there will be some pickup basketball that Tags can play in over the holiday? Let me know

If you can make it to the Alfred-Almond High School Gym on Christmas night, there will be pick-up basketball (and volleyball) from 6 to 10 p.m. Happy to have you there if it works out.

What time? I will try to make it over. I have to be back up here for work on Wednesday morning, but would like to at least try to get over there.

Pep will be there to open up the gym at 6 p.m. and would be happy to have you show up soon thereafter. Most of the ballers will arrive around 7 p.m. and we'll probably be all tuckered out by 10 p.m.

Whats up fellow E8ers...

Just got back from an awesome Disney Vacation cruise with the wife and kids....

Saw that the Corey Jackson TD celebration was put on Youtube along with the SJF/MUC highlights.  Obviously Jacksons celebration was a mock of Garcons, watch them both. If SJF fans were in the endzone there he would of whopped it up just like Garcon did, but they wernt and he did the next best thing.  Then he hopped around and over exaggerated that stupid jump into each others back just like Garcon.

Bang your drum little drummer boy!!

I see nothing wrong with it considering what Garcon did before.

On to Coach Faggiano's departure, I'm sad to see him go.  Him and Scatch were the reasons I went to SJF.  I hope that Parks can replace him as the recruiter that he was.  He brought some big time talent in the past few years.  Good luck at Utica Coach, your going to need it!

On MUC's loss vs WWW: This isnt good for SJF.  The loss plus the Jackson celebration will equal Mount trying to put 70 on SJF if they get the chance.

Merry Christmas, happy holidays and all that jazz to the E8 PP crew....

+K to all!

Well I'm off to Family this weekend and through Christmas...

Just like to wish everyone in the E8 family a happy and safe holiday season, and Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays and Belated Birthday to you, Pat!   :)

AUPepBand

Here's a wish for a Very Merry Christmas to all the E8 Nation together with a prayer for those who have put themselves in harm's way in Afghanistan, Iraq and the other parts of the world...on our behalf. While our cheers for our gridiron gladiators subside with season's end, let us ne'r be weary of cheering those who defend the land of the free and the home of the brave.

As Tiny Tim said, "God bless us, every one!"

All the best,
Pep

+K to all, and to all a good night!

In deference to the Ithaca College Pep Band and any other bands from the E8, Pep is widely distributing the following message:

Pep would like to put to rest right here and right now any rumors that the Alfred University Pep Band was named "D3 Pep Band of the Year" for the 2007 season. To Pep's knowledge, no such recognition exists.

Pep has been approached by several persons in recent weeks who have congratulated Pep on the AU Pep Band's winning a "national award."

Pep would also like to state as a matter of fact that the band never was named "ECAC Pep Band of the Week," contrary to what one may have heard announced at an AU football game at Merrill Field. Once again, Pep is unaware of any means whereby pep bands earn honors during the football season.

It was all a hoax!

There, now Pep feels much better. Confession, indeed, is good for the soul.

Merry Christmas....and stay tuned!

Sarge: You going to the North Country for Christmas? Pep Jr. will back in Mayberry probably early Saturday morning...Pep may be making a post-Christmas trip to Charlotte to get away from the cold and snow for a few days. Pep is also looking for a different vehicle as the 1992 Bandwagon is beginning to act its age.

Looks like this will be my first xmas away from the snowy confines of O'burg NY.  Although, the weather here is great as compared to o'burg's, I think i might miss it.  But prolly only for a day.  My parents sent my presents down here to me, already wrapped.  I put them under the tree and there they stayed... for two days.  Had to open them last nite.
Side note....  I would definitely make it to open gym at AA on xmas day.

Looks like Sarge has been good this year...heck, even the karma is up! Pep Jr. arrived early this morning from Charlotte...he's a bit disappointed the fitness center is closed but we can always break into Davis. If you're ever in Alfred at Thanksgiving or Christmas, sarge, you'd be welcome at open gym at AA. Merry Christmas!

Naw MUC gets too much bad press on ESPN when they let it get that far. LK will call off the dogs in the low 60s. Its hard enough to sechedule that one out of conference game every year as it is. No need to make it harder. Is it August yet? Im having football withdrawl symptoms already. You guys hurry up and get to Alliance. Lets get 08 started.

not so rowdy bomber

NSRB is very exited for Santa to bring the Bombers a trip to Salem next year and big "W's" over the Fish, the Purple Saxaphones, and of course a big 'ol wallupin' on the rouge reptiles.  though they're probably not rouge any more after the Cortacastampead... more like black and blue ... anywho.

Happy holidays to all around the region and around the e-8... here's to great seasons for all and a bomber stagg bowl date!

Pep is exited to be celebrating a birthday tonight! Pep arrived at 11 p.m. Christmas Eve with the Stork making the delivery in the nick of time....just before Santa's arrival with his sleigh and reindeer. In fact, some still believe the Stork was riding along with St. Nick in the sleigh that night a few years back.

Pep is also exited about Santa bringing more talent to Saxonville to fill some awfully big shoes that will be moving along come May.

Merry Christmas to the entire E8 Nation....may God bless us one and all!

Now Pep's got some baking and wrapping to do!

It's the off season but Pep has some grand news from Mayberry.

Remember back at the start of the 2007 season, Pep drove his Band Wagon to Greenville, PA some 3.5 hours for the Saxons' 34-7 season opening win...and the idiot "Check Engine" light came on about 10 miles before arriving. Pep made several stops en route home because same "Check Engine" light kept coming on; the final pit stop was at the welcome center in Chautauqua County where Pep was joined by the football team buses. Needless to say, Pep made it home okay and later discovered it was the alternator, which was replaced.

Pep's 1992 Grand Caravan of late had been in a sorry state. The passenger side wiper began to go wacko, the sliding door was permanently locked meaning that any passengers had to board in front and climb through; the tailpipe had fallen off and the muffler was getting progressively louder. Now the loud muffler wasn't so bad because it drowned out the other scary noises being emitted from under the hood. But the other day, Ms. Pep got pulled over for a Padiddle. Pep took the van to his cousin's repair station where the mechanic tapped on the Padiddle and the headlight began to work. Ms. Pep was driving a few days later and once again got a Padiddle.

Early Friday morning, Pep dropped the van off to get the Padiddle taken care of and discussed the vehicle's sorry state with said cousin. With the muffler edging toward "ticket time," and the vehicle's life expectancy long surpassed, Pep wondered if it were worth the money to have everything fixed....or just the Padiddle.

When Pep picked up the Bandwagon later Friday, Pep was amazed at how nicely the vehicle ran. The side door was fixed, the muffler replaced, the wiper repaired, the Padiddle fixed, the oil changed, etc., etc. Given a new lease on life and running as good as ever, the Bandwagon was promptly taken to the car wash Saturday, cleaned up, inside and out and Voila! Pep is driving a new vehicle! The "New Car Scent" once again has done the trick.

Now, perhaps Pep should set up an off-season poll in answer to the question, "What will be the final mileage on Pep's 1992 Grand Caravan Pep Bandwagon when Pep finally relinquishes ownership of the Bandwagon?"

It's been a while since I logged onto E8Nation, so first I need to catch up with the salutations.  Happy Festivus, Happy Birthday Pep, Merry Christmas, Happy Boxing Day and Happy Kwanzaa!  Oh, and special thanks to Pep for securing A-A gym last night; my legs are killing me, but I had a blast playing volleyball!

Phil the Tuba Player will indeed be hard to replace.  Not only did he produce the loudest sound, but he conducted the band for the national anthem and even brought two extra fans to the games most weeks!

As for the Pep Bandwagon, I'll put my guess at 314,516 miles when it finally stops running and subsequently no longer sounds like the band warming up.

And finally, the Bombers get zero respect from Around the Nation:
"Mount Union didn't allow a first-quarter point until its playoff opener against Averett."
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Alright, take it easy. One simple typo out of 5,200 words isn't the same as no respect. Sheesh.
