Memo to Mike Hart:

The Boys from Old Florida hit a lot harder than anyone in Upstate NY or the Big 10.  Might want to go ahead and tuck that thing inside the five yard line.

They may hit harder, but they still couldn't hold him in check. I think Hart surprised some of your SEC boys as well.

A collapse by Virginia as the Cavaliers let Texas Tech score 17 in the last 3 minutes to beat 'em 31-28 after trailing 28-14.

Some decent bowl games, all in all.

Missed you at the A-A gym Christmas night, Tags. Pep Jr. landed on his friend's foot and broke two bones! He's got a boot on that foot and getting around with crutches to start the new year. Yikes!

Pep... may your van never die

Boxer....thanks! Just when Pep thought the thing was not worth the cost of its next repair bill, Pep's local mechanic breathed new life into it. Heck, in addition to the Padiddle, the wiper, the sliding door, the muffler, the oil change with filter, he even repaired some door framing that Pep had nearly destroyed once while changing a tire.

Pep was advised by a young college student friend that perhaps its time for Pep to purchase one of those vehicles that reflects his "mid-life crisis" i.e. a fast little red sports car with a five-speed. The lad agreed with Pep that perhaps it was time to retire the "soccer mom" vehicle. So Pep was looking. Just looking. Ms. Pep may need a car but Pep is hoping he can get another year or two out of the 1992 Bandwagon, already qualifying as a "classic" in the state of Florida. Ain't that right, Jose?

Life is grand....in Pep's Caravan. For now.

Happy New year gents.
Dont know what to make of the Fisher/UC coaching sit. but it does seem a little wierd that a few ppl with solid inside knowledge go to an in conference opponeont.
I do wish Coach F well--just not against Fisher.
Next years game will be in Utica and i wont have to travel far to see the alma mater!!
i will say that Mrs. 91 has picked up on the renewed interest in the team- as i am now decked out with new Fisher apparel and have retired the old soccer sweatshirt from 87!
Just hope these new sweats hold up for 20 years!!!!

Man that sux!  Doesnt look like Jordan's gonna be playin too much in the near future.  Wish i coulda gotten a run in.  I ran a little bet with the 8th graders where I teach and thought there was a match burning in my lungs.  You can tell Jr. that it could be worse though.  My bro is going under the knife 2morrow for ACL repair due to some very competitive old man softball this summer.  He'll b a year on the shelf and some physical therapy to boot.

Yeah, the doctor says four weeks. It will just about crush his running routine not to mention hoops. Pep is guessing the now-skinny Pep Jr. may put on a few pounds. However, Pep didn't find many sweets in the apartment...

Say, Sarge, Pep covered most of the state of North Carolina over the weekend and surprised he didn't see any "Sarge was here" signs anywhere.  ??? Those eighth graders keeping you tied down?

Pep,

I was looking for you as I traveled from NC up to NY and was glad NOT to see the wagon on the side of the road.  I was prepared to stop and do a last rites ceremony if I needed to!  Though our vehicle was younger, we beat you by about 300 miles on the round trip.

Happy New Year to all, and I'm still looking forward to the first weekend of the new season!

Jose,
I hope you are watching out for falling Iguanas

Ha that would be so weird...You are running down the sidewalk for your innocent morning jog and what appears to be a lifeless Iguana falls on your head...I would be more than a little creeped out by that.

Pep had an uneventful trip indeed. The Bandwagon performed well above expectations. Purred like a kitten, traveled at 75 mph with ease. Pep was asked by a neighbor how many quarts of oil I went through on the trip.....gosh, should I have checked the oil?   ???
