Alfred will have the same schedule as last season with the exception of replacing Thiel with Fairleigh Dickinson (home game), and replacing Hobart with Rochester (at UR), giving the Saxons six road games and four home games. Yikes.

Road trips to St. Lawrence (Canada), Springfield (MA), and Husson (Maine) in addition to Hartwick (Hilltop), Utica (Club) and Rochester (backyard). Home games with Fairly Dickenson's Modeling Agency, Nor-wichwaytotheexit, Ithaca Pep Band and St. John the Fisherman.

In actual E8 football news, I have heard from a source within the Alfred athletic department that Husson will not be on the Saxon's schedule in 2008.  That leaves 1 open slot to be filled, so it still remains to be seen whether or not Alfred will have 5 or 6 away games next year.

This is news to Pep....Pep will investigate!

BTW, what ever happened to Pep's Bandwagon poll? The van has just passed 289,000 miles and still running.... Stay tuned.
On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Out of curiousity TGP looked for AU's 2008 schedule but couldn't find it.  Would hope that if both Hobart and Alfred had 9/6/08 open (Hobart currently has that date open and only a 9 game schedule) they'd schedule a game.

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

I have to admit that I'm not an RIT backer...it's hard for me to cheer them on.  I went for two years to Plattsburgh before transferring to Mount Union, and the Tigers and Plattsburgh's Cardinals played a pretty heavy rivalry in hockey before RIT moved up to DI (although the Cardinals did win the National Championship in Ritter Arena!).  I'm a Giants fan through and through, and am excited for the team, and am a Rochester native so I think it's nice to have another Super Bowl connection to the area.  I remember being surprised when reading about Coughlin coaching at RIT when he was hired.  I just thought to myself, "RIT has a football program?"  Then I heard the stories of how they had folded the program.

As far as RIT starting up football again, I'd be surprised.  I think you can, but is it even possible to have a DIII program with a DI sport at the same school?  I think before they can consider re-starting the football program, they need to earn some significant money with the hockey program, and that can take a long time with how little return is seen in hockey.  I don't think that they would see any positve in it, just another drain on the athletic department budget.

jaypeter - Did they win it at Ritter in Minneapolis or is the Plattsburgh arena also named Ritter?

nice, this election is getting heated!  although i am worried that if people actually do start treating this like a genuine election they will in turn genuinely expect me to perform duties if elected.....Booby doesn't even do work at work (my posting right now is a prime example of this) so I wouldn't bet on me getting much done as the leader.  That is my campaign promise!  Even so, if I do come in 2nd (which looks like a good possibility) can we do what they used to do during the first presidential elections of this great country....The person who finishes 2nd automatically becomes the Vice President.  Even though that didn't work in the old days because the President and Vice President were bitter rivals from different parties forced to join together, I feel that job is much more suited for me because I still carry a title but I get to kick back and do nothing except for occasionally play with some buttons at NORAD.  Just a thought.

I like that idea Vice-Comish in charge of booby

Okay, if it's not KaZooby....it could be BooZoo. (Pep was seeing that there was a tie and combined the two names together....) Looks like we have some hanging chads...could the winner be determined with the vote count from Florida? Or will we have a George Gore/Al Bush Commissioner? Time is ticking away....As Pep always tells the band, "Stay tuned." Naw...Pep always says, "Get the fight song ready!"

Unfortunately I can't break the tie as I'm the one in the late hour to bring it to a tie to begin with!
