Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Sad news from UC.....
Please keep John and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Perhaps the reason GM lost 777 million dollars in 2007 was they made their vehicles too well.  1 million miles!! good granny could you imagine!  Dubbz gets nervous with his vehicles touching 100,000.  HOWEVER, after hearing of Pep's 289,000 mini van Dubbz has decided to shoot for 200,000 miles in his and Lady Dubbz' vehicles.  Thank you Pep for the inspiration!

As for Kazoo, congrats "commish Kazoo"  (I voted for Booby though)  I figured you cant go wrong with either a Kazoo or Boobies, but, honestly, Boobies appeal to me more than playing a kazoo.  :)

you would say that BBG's.

As to the UC situation, thats terrible news.

The Pep Bandwagon was in the pit for some serious malady but is now back on track. Seems the fuel rail had failed and had to be replaced, after it was spitting $3.33/gal. gas all around the engine compartment. Pep's cousin/mechanic and Pep were stunned that the Bandwagon hadn't succumbed to a vehicular fire. Some brake work, a couple new tires and regular service hiked the bill, which amounted to probably two car payments for new car owners...Pep once learned that the least expensive wheels are those that currently sit in one's driveway/garage. So long as it's still road worthy (passes inspection), Pep will probably be driving the Bandwagon.

Now Pep hopes to address his listening needs. Rear speakers were blown out some time ago and, since Pep has already given the Bandwagon a new lease on life, it's time to pimp Pep's ride.

Pep there must come a time where a new exhaust must be needed (1K?) and then the cost to repair outweighs the cost of the vehicle?

I am starting to highly suspect if my sign on name were a generic one as opposed to including Booby from Friday night lights I wouldn't have received a single vote.  Does this make me feel a little bit hollow about the entire campaign?  Yes.  But does that mean I will lose sleep over it at night? Well yes to that as well.  Still, the show must go on and I proudly assume the role of Vice-Commish.

Just checking in gents --- throw a late pass, who is the commish?

Pep has a southern approach to cars.  So long as the cost of repair doesn't outweigh the value of a new ride, you keep driving.  In Dixie, no salt on the roads means car bodies take 10 years longer to rust so people just keep driving them and doing the work themselves.  I can't believe upstate winters didn't KO the bandwagon long ago though.

Sounds to me like Pep has the secret to maintaining a car well beyond its years:

Pep had a 1991 Grand Caravan that was a NY car that Pep liked very much but the well-concealed rust did it in, not to mention the two deer it hit with Pep's daughter/deer magnet behind the wheel. So, Pep sought a similar vehicle back in 2001 and came upon the present Pep Bandwagon online with a one-owner in Sioux Falls, IA. Pep asked all the questions about the tranny, rust, etc.--all the things that had spelled the downfall of the 1991 van. Pep flew from Syracuse to DesMoines on Aug. 30, 2001 to pick up the Bandwagon at the airport there, then drove back to Alfred with a stop at the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, IN and a tour of the Notre Dame Stadium lockerroom (but that's another story).

The Bandwagon's first owner worked for FedEx and whenever there was salt on the road, the owner pulled his van into the shop and washed it off. There was no rust on the van when Pep bought it. A couple years ago, when Pep was building houses in Deland, FL with the AU Habitatters, the son of another of Pep's many cousins who at that time operated an auto body repair shop, cleaned up the few rust spots and did a few other body repairs.

Pep was ready to find other wheels as the Bandwagon needed a muffler, the side door would not open and the serpentine belt pulley was whistling Dixie most of the time. When Pep's daughter got pulled over by Alfred Police for a padiddle, Pep took the bandwagon to his cousin's shop, where Pep was wheedled to not drop another dime in the limping limousine. But Pep was pleasantly surprised to find that his cousin's mechanic had 1) replaced the muffler 2) fixed the side door 3) repaired some loose molding and 4) oil change/filter....and the bandwagon purred like a kitten while continuing to whistle Dixie.

Pep then drove the bandwagon to North Carolina and back without incident. However, last month, the fuel rail needed to be replaced, at which time Pep bought two new tires. This, too, has given the bandwagon new life although there are now signs of some rust starting around the wheel wells. So long as the body remains sound, Pep is content making occasional "car payments" to keep the vehicle on the road. Over the weekend, the bandwagon surpassed 290,000 miles.

That's Pep's story and he's sticking to it.
