Fox is also a former stud LBer (All American perhaps?), alum of legendary Caledonia-Mumford High School where he played with the all-american kid, QB Chris Jones, and younger brother of a (former?) WWE superstar and winner of Tough Enough III.

EDIT: Why don't I consult Wikipedia before clicking "post." The winner of Touch Enough III was Matt Capotelli, who is also from Cal Mum and had a younger brother that played LB at Fisher.  Obviously, the confusion is understandable.

SJF NEW DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR:

MIKE FOX

Good move, he'll do well....

boobyhasgameyo

I think Fox is a little too young and inexperienced for the job personally, he just stopped playing football for Fisher 3 seasons ago....Don't know how seasoned you can become at leading an entire defense and calling plays in that time.  Obviously I hope I am wrong though.

P.S. Garcon is doing well in the combine it seems, if anyone cares...

I wasn't going to be the first person to raise the issue but now that a SJF backer has broken the ice, I will chime in and agree that I had the same question when I saw the post.  Fisher has gotten its program at least to a level where it can recruit a lateral coach from another school with some experience.

I'd also worry about a guy whose entire college football experience (both playing and coaching) came at one institution under one system.  Generally, you need assistants to bring some fresh ideas for the Head Coach to consider so things don't get stale.  Also, I think assistants are best when the Head Coach thinks of them as a peer.  Can Fox speak up when he disagrees with something his former coach says?  Will the coach listen even if he does speak up?

superman57

I agree that he is young and that was my first reaction...but let's lay it on the table... 4th quater in the Stagg bowl up by 4 and the ball on their own 37 who do we really think is going to make the call... I think Fox is nice figure head...Fisher boy done good...he knows the d...but much like Bush and Cheaney someone else will be in his back pocket making major decisons

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Quote from: Jonny Utah on February 21, 2008, 11:26:31 AMPep there must come a time where a new exhaust must be needed (1K?) and then the cost to repair outweighs the cost of the vehicle?

Pep has a southern approach to cars.  So long as the cost of repair doesn't outweigh the value of a new ride, you keep driving.  In Dixie, no salt on the roads means car bodies take 10 years longer to rust so people just keep driving them and doing the work themselves.  I can't believe upstate winters didn't KO the bandwagon long ago though.

Sounds to me like Pep has the secret to maintaining a car well beyond its years:

That's Pep's story and he's sticking to it.

Dubbz purchased some fancy "No rust thing" when he purchased his and Lady Dubbz's vehicles.  It looks like a mini cell phone with a blinking red light that attachs to the front wheel wells, normaly by the battery. Does anyone know if these things really work and do indeed prevent rust the way they claim?  Apparently its a big deal in the Northeast to have these things since we get the salt in the winter.

Just bolt a small block of Zinc in each wheel well, zinc helps to retard corrosion.  The Navy fastens zinc blocks inside the outer hull of submarines to help prevent rust.

rust has pretty much gone to the wayside unless its an old car...new advances in metals being used in cars make rust almost non existent in cars anymore. even in the n.e. where salt on roads is used heavily in winter. i havent heard of the thingee u talk about so no ideers if it really works or is of internet folklore....btw new exhaust 1K? take it to a midas or pep boyz and get the cheapest put on and it should not cost anywhere near 1k

Even at Midas or Meineke if the catalytic converter and manifold are shot, it could get close to 1K, maybe only about 800 for them, but then you have to worry if they actually did the job correctly and there are no leaks under the car.

Older brother KS had his brakes and muffler done at a Midas and they did not bleed the brakes properly or tighten the muffler clamps enough.  KS ended up fixing it for brother KS, after Bro KS almost hit a stone wall because his brakes went soft, good thing he thought to pull the parking brake.

Here's a fresh idea:  TACKLE NATE KMIC!  Watching him rush for 9 yds a carry against us is getting "stale".

Methinks you'll need more than just some fresh ideas to do that!  ;)

Maybe this strategy would work?

Just the parts for an exhaust are gonna be close to 500 for a car like that I would think.
