That's some interesting news about the E8.  Should be Interesting.  This happens after Brockport and Morrisville JUST join the NJAC? oy.  I do think that Cortland would probably be the first choice.

Can't disagree. Logic says Wesley and Salisbury s/b in the NJAC and Cort and B-Port s/b in the E-8 or up-state group. ;)
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

I have a feeling Wesley and Salsbury would be extreme long shots, as I'm sure the E8 wants to try and stay as local as possible

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Supe,
Perhaps you should change your tag to read "Poor grammar, horrible spelling and lack of reading comprehension... that's just how he rolls!"

Rams,
I'm intrigued by the idea of having a couple SUNY schools in the E8 (and I also assume that Springfield will jump ship for the NAC in a year or two) with Salsbury and Wesley in the NJAC.  Cortland definitely is the crowned jewel of all the SUNY programs right now, but I think it would be fun to have Buff State in the E8.  And if Port ended up making the switch that would only help PG04's commissioner campaign chances!
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

to my defense it took me 4 or 5 times to actually understand what Rams was saying...

So i found it funny, I was running some errands today and I saw a guy wearing an Alfred sweatshirt, and then I look at the car in front of me and there is an Ithaca College sticker

I would say Cortland would be #1 because it seems the State of New York gives them more money for everything than other suny schools, especially in athletics.  The facilities are probably some of the best in the country.  They are also one of the better d3 athletic schools in the country.

Quote from: superman57 on March 05, 2008, 09:55:40 PMIMO, clearly you have to put Cortland as #1 and it has to make sense if you are Cortland because now the biggest game of the year could be for the conference title and you have to save money, time and energy not driving to tha dirty j 4 weekends a year

an implicit admission that Fisher has not convinced you that they are here to stay?

I love it, as soon as I saw Superman post that I thought to myself Jose is going to say something about this in regards to Fisher not having any staying power....Annnnnd there it is.

Ha, well I don't know about predictable in general, just in terms of seizing any opportunity to question the permanence of Fisher football.  +k back though since Fisher and Ithaca folk are bff's in the offseason.  Can't wait for the new season to begin, especially since we have a cupcake first opponent that will ensure we start off the new season on the right foot!

On a side note, anybody else have suspicions that our very own commish Mr. Kazoo is involved in this Prostitution Ring as well.  I always wondered why when we were playing pickup basketball his friends kept referring to him as "client number 8".  Kind of a strange nickname....Maybe it's time for my rise to power!

Sorry for the slander campaign Kazoo, it's just in my nature sometimes.

With E8 willing to get some state schools into the conference, how many schools do you guys think will be added?

With Norwich on the way out and Sprigfield will probably follow suit soon would anyone be opposed to eventually adding all four upstate SUNY schools that offer football? Teams would get two out of conference games. Brockport, Cortland, Mo-ville and Buff state in addition to Alfred, Hartwick, Ithaca, Fisher, and Utica would be a pretty decent conference schedule.
