I don't know if the E8 is willing to get some state schools into the conference, I think they just want a state school to come. Pure speculation but I believe they still want to keep the conference as "like-minded" as possible aka private schools.

I think Booby is right. They are just opening the possibility of adding a state school to fill Norwich's football-only affiliation. I wouldn't be so sure that SC will leave anytime soon either.

Pep is just back from his annual AU Habitat Collegiate Challenge Trip to Deland, FL. Pep was happy to have AU football players Matt Eisenhauer, Chuck Lamb, Vinson Hendrix and Saucobie Riley among the 30 student participants. Just a great, great time getting better acquainted with 30 of AU's finest!

I'm unlikely to still be in the ROC come next season but you know I'll make time to come home for a game or 2 to party w/ the doctors!

If that H.O.F. honor ever does come around I expect you to throw me a couple UC Golds before, during, and after my speech!

My clubs have been in the trunk of my car all winter...I have them there for those emergency golf situations. It helps to be prepared.

Mine are in my truck too. But then again, we play golf during the "winter" down here.

Golf league starts in 4 weeks--looks like im going to try to sneak out to any open course ahead of time---or go to turning stone casino and hit their golf dome!!
Man- it hasnt been a bad winter- just long!

Pep is hoping to soon get out on the VanderView Golf Course here in Saxonville. Pep made the mistake, last time out back in late summer, of grabbing his $18 set of clubs (snagged at a yard sale) rather than his better $25 set of clubs (also snagged at a yard sale) and paid dearly, getting crushed in a grudge match with a Habitatter. It was funny for awhile, but after losing half a dozen balls, Pep was closer to crying than laughing after nine holes. F O R E !!!

Pep has long ago learned that many things are not meant to be taken seriously. Many people get themselves into trouble when they take things too seriously. When I become too serious about golf, I cease to have fun. Pep comes from a long line of good golfers with the surname of Palmer....but, unfortunately, Pep doesn't wear those genes.
